Looking for an affordable & cozy apartment rental in Paris? I rent my apartment in Montmartre to visitors for a minimum of 3 nights at a time. The apartment is a one bedroom with a separate kitchen/ dining space (not a studio!). It features a nice bedroom with two windows looking out onto a quaint, quiet, street that ends in a stairway on one side. The view will remind you of the little streets in the movie, Amelie!
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven (includes a clothes washing machine) and includes a window overlooking a nice plant-filled courtyard and a seating area with a table and a set of chairs. There are a couple extra chairs available in case you want to invite friends over for dinner :) There is also a bathroom with a shower (with good water pressure), hairdryer, and hair straightener available. I live in the apartment, so it has more amenities than a stale, rental property (Books! Free food/ feel free to eat anything in my kitchen!), but it is not a hotel (though clean sheets are provided). If you want me to hire a cleaning service to fix up the place before your stay, you can pay extra for this amenity.
The apartment is on the 2nd floor (American 3rd floor) of my building. The bedroom has a new large comfortable full bed (140cm x 190 cm) and an available single air mattress, as well as a desk, easy chairs, an iron, and nightstand. Towels and sheets are provided. The apartment sleeps two confortably, and a third person can sleep on the air mattress for no additional fee.
The nightly rate includes charges, water, and heating, wireless internet access, and both domestic and international (EU + North America) land line calls from my home phone. Ask me about discounts for weeklong stays.
The neighborhood is safe and full of cute local shops, restaurants, and low key indie bars. The apartment is a five minute walk from the famous Sacred Heart Basilica (Le Sacre Coeur). 25 minute metro ride to the Champs Elysees, 30 minute ride to the Eiffel tower.
The nearest metro station is Lamarck-Caulaincourt (line 12), however it is also just a short walk away from the line 4 (15 minutes to the Marais/center) and the line 13. It's on the north side of Montmartre, which is cozy and less touristy than the southern side, but just as accessible.
