  Staying at Heather's was very good! I appreciate good quality of the room, bed (really big and comfortable), towels and all small details - it feels like a very good hotel room. Room has lot's of light and air. Apartment itself is in very green area, close to metro station and just 2 stations far from busy city centre. I recommend this apartment for all types of travellers and will gladly stay there when I am in Washington again!

  Heather and Vasa were terrific hosts! They were friendly and warm and helpful without being "too helpful" (we had that experience once at a different BnB). Bottom line, the experience of staying with them was everything we hoped and more. The room was nice and clean. Everything was just as they said. They stayed in touch via email and text before, during, and after the visit when communication was needed. We also appreciated the use of the kitchen and common spaces, and they had everything we needed. We even met a few other visitors and they were great people. It was great to get to know Vasa and Heather a little on our first day, and they were happy to help with anything we had questions about, but we were free to come and go as we needed. That meant a lot to us. They even gave us a place to store our bicycles overnight, provided the parking pass we needed for our car, and made good suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. The only downside of the visit, which we knew going in, was that the bathroom was shared with other guests. But even that wasn't a problem. DC is a great city, easy to get around and with lots of sites to enjoy, and we heartily recommend Heather and Vasa's place to any other travelers our there hope to see our Capital city.

  Heather and Vasa are wonderful hosts with a great home. They provided a map of the city with a suggested walking route as well as guidebooks. The room we stayed in was sunny, spotless, and most importantly quiet. Also, the plants in the room are a great touch. I highly recommend this house to anyone traveling in the DC area.

  Nice nice room, in a beautiful house, the owners, a young couple, very friendly and peaceful.Everything was perfect, hospitality, cleanliness, location. From Union Station take a subway just 1 stop the ticket cost 2,20$ but if use the metro for all day take a ticket for 9$ afther 9:30 am you can go in every place throughout the day.I recommend this accommodation. 10+ Washington is a beautiful city for lovers of art and the story, impossible get bored. In a single day I shot 3 Museum, National Air and Space Museum, the Museum of American History and the Museum of Natural History. In one evening adive, a walk along The Mall, visiting the Lincoln Memorial and a view of White House.

  Vasa is so great as well as the house, we had fun chatting and got useful information from him. We walked from the house to the Capital Hill in 20 min. We will definitely stay with him next time when we visit DC. The only bad thing is we did not meet Heather.

  Heather and Vasa are amazing hosts. I had a wonderful stay in their well appointed, immaculately clean home. When I arrived, Heather welcomed me with clear instructions about the home, how to use/ access the amenities, useful guides about the neighborhood and sights around DC. She made herself available for any questions I had and was very fast at responding to all my emails. They were also extremely considerate of their guests, giving us free reign of their home. I was there on a research trip and I found the place extremely convenient for doing research at the National Archives. I highly recommend their place and will stay there again next time I'm in DC.

  Heather and Vasa were wonderful hosts. The room was quiet and really comfortable, as was the bath. The WiFi worked like a charm. The New York Ave Metro was in walking distance and a short metro ride into the National Mall.

  This was my first Air B&B experience, in a very cool 100-year-old row house that's been renovated, and it was fantastic. Heather and Vasa were gracious hosts. The room was comfortable and spotless. There's an electronic code lock so I could come and go as I pleased. There's a BikeShare rack about a block and a half away, but I brought my bike and locked it right out front. They house is a leisurely 10-15-minute ride to the W. Washington Conference center; another five minutes farther and you're at the White House. It was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

  Heather and Vasa' s home was great. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Vasa was home when I got there at noon and I was just going to leave my luggage but he went up and got the room ready and before I was ready to go back out, I was moved in. I highly recommend using the bike share which is right up the street from the house. I rode everywhere and it was a lot more fun than the Metro. Vasa also offered me the use of his computer when I needed to get a document emailed right away. All in all, a good experience and a good DC value.

  We were very comfortable in Heather & Vasa's historic and nicely renovated home. It is very well located, a15-20min walk to the city. There are also options to rent a bicycle nearby, which is an enjoyable way to discover Washington.

  This was our first AirBnb experience - and what a great experience it was. Heather and Vasa are absolutely wonderful hosts, we only wish we could of stayed longer! Lovely place, clean, good location, go with these guys!

  We enjoyed our time with Heather & Vasa tremendously. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The same goes for the little bathroom just next to our room. Our hosts had a lot of information about Washington DC, on how to get around and where to eat plus free WIFI waiting for us.They were both very helpful and welcoming and seemed sincerely interested in their guests and their well-being. The house is an easy 15 min walk to Union Station, very convenient for sightseeing. Highly recommedable!

  This was our first Airbnb experience, and Heather & Vasa made it absolutely perfect for both my boyfriend and I. The room was very cosy and clean, toilet was spotless, and Heather even provided many maps, guides and personal tips to help us explore DC. Both Heather & Vasa were very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Location wise, it is within walking distance to Union station and if you're up for it to most of the monuments as well. But if you prefer to take the metro, there's a station pretty close by. The neighbourhood is lovely. Do skip Macdonalds & Wendy's and head for Five Guys nearby instead! Will definitely stay with them again if we do return to DC.

  This was our first experience using airbnb so we were obviously not quite sure about the whole thing but from the minute we arrived we felt comfortable and right at home. Vasa was great - very helpful. Their home was wonderful - everything we were looking for. A healthy walk to The Mall and area restaurants and a really comfortable bed! We will be planning another trip to DC and be calling on Heather and Vasa again! Thank you for everything.

  Great house, great location, and great people! The house is easy to get to from the airport and is close to every form of transportation you could need to get around town. Heather and Vasa are very helpful and friendly hosts that keep an exceptionally clean room/house and provide all sorts of helpful resources for navigating the city and sites. Don't think twice about booking with them, it will make for a truly excellent addition to your vacation.

  Let me begin by saying I've stayed with Heather and Vasa twice, both in April, once in 2011 and 2012. Overall everything's perfect I'll break that down further. Hosts - - If you need more attention/have questions they're there; If you like your space, you got it. In my experience many hosts try to hard and come of as annoying. For Heather and Vasa this balance comes very naturally, and that's refreshing. Location- - Great location. I felt safe, I felt safe letting my younger (16+18) siblings go out solo, it's 5 min away from public transit, two train stops from downtown, close to Harris Teeter (a supermarket). Whatever I needed was close; and anywhere I wanted to go public transit would take me. Wifi- - Strong connection, no drops, good speed, I checked my email daily and streamed Mad Men no problem, what else can you ask for:) The room itself- - Very clean, very comfortable, sheets and blankets were soft. It was the perfect conclusion after a long day of playing tourist. There's nothing negative to say. In short, If I stay in D.C. I stay with Heather and Vasa. - Andrew Wilson

  Great experience staying with Heather & Vasa. The room is stocked with guidebooks and DC related information, their house is clean, comfortable and cozy, and the metro is a short walk from their place. Overall, a great experience.
