Beautiful&Private off Las Ramblas!

What a wonderful stay! Excellent location! Florian and Anu are super sweet and very helpful and friendly. The place is very comfortable and the location is prime. I am looking forward to staying here again!

The place was wonderful! We didn´t get to see much of Anu, but Flo was super helpful in giving us tips on where to go to places that weren´t too touristy. His walking tour of the Gothic area was great, there´s so much history and he knows tons of little fun-facts that make the trip really interesting. The apartment had tons of character, and was very lively -- there was always someone around to say hello! The room is more than enough space for 2, and there´s a little cot thing that could easily hold a third. It´s a little noisy, but that´s only because the location couldn´t be any better RIGHT in the heart of Barcelona. Highly recommend this place!

Flo & Anu's place is fantastic ! A typical spanish flat with lot of rooms (5) ! The bathroom is quiet old and need a good refresh, the room is noisy if you want to sleep early but the ambiance of Barcelona and the kindness of Flo make you forget that!! We did the little tour in the old city, really cool. We ate very well and enjoyed this fabulous city ! Definitively a great place to recommend :)

4.5 stars if I could give it. Main con: Noise Staying here was one of the highlights of my 3-day Barcelona experience. Anu and Flo were both friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I learned a lot about the local area from them. The apartment itself is cute, colorful, and historic. I took a lot of photos just inside the apartment the first day, while I was stuck waiting for a traveling companion. The location is beautiful, lively, and very historic, in the heart of the gothic quarter. I enjoyed wandering around and felt very at home. It helped that a great vegan cafe is just down the road at the plaza george orwell! Unfortunately, the noise from the bar next door, the apartment building, and the street in general (including the metal doors of opening and closing shops) made it very hard to sleep--usually I slept through it, but the last night I didn't get much sleep and was testy the next day. If noise is a dealbreaker--and not just an "all things being equal, I'd rather have somewhere quiet" type thing, but a real requirement--do not stay here. Also, it's up several flights of stairs with no elevator. I could do it, but that might be unmanageable for some people. I couldn't recommend this place more highly to people who can sleep through noise (or are going to be out partying with the rest of the street) and are physically capable of the stairs. It's not just a place to stay--it's an experience, and it's a historic family-owned home.

Seems a little redundant to leave another glowing review for these guys, but they deserve it. Great apartment in the heart of Barcelona with wonderful hosts. My only caution to folks who might want to stay here is to ask for a room in the back of the house if you are a light sleeper, as some of the street noise makes it upstairs -- especially when there's a soccer match on!

The location of this spacious apartment is perfect. Just a stone's throw from the busy La Rambla, the Gothic quarter and scores of cafes, restaurants, bars and squares. The hosts were super friendly and helpful.

The room is nice and clean in a really good location, thats worth it. On the contrary the bathroom is really old and not very cozy but it was cleaned every day. I really recommend staying at Flo & Anu apartment.

Everything was very commandable. Flo was very helpful and friendly and gave us a lot of insider information. The room was tidy with a little balcony and the flat has two bathrooms and a kitchen. The flat is centrally located, one minute walk to la rambla. Because of that it is very loud at night, but perfect for party-goer. We thank you again very cordially, return gladly again times to such an overnight accomodation.

anu was a brilliant host. her place is amizing spacious and very charming. i really would recommend staying here. i liked the chat with her that unfortunately was just too short. would have liked to listen to some interesting stories. but i really had a nice stay and bumped into nice guests within her flat. thanks for all.

florian et anouchka sont des personnes tres charmantes, florian se donne meme la peine de faire une petite visite guidée avec plusieurs bonnes adresses cependant les conditions sont très rudimentaires , la chambre est une chambre aveugle et ne pas avoir de lumière ni d air frais n est pas évident. l appartement est très bien situé , ce qui est fort agréable mais des améliorations de condition de vie sont nécessaires le charme et la joie de vivre de ces hotes est ce qui fait passer le reste

Florian and Anu were wonderful hosts. My friend and I had a wonderful time. Don't hesitate to rent this place. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the location can't be beat. You really cannot find better hosts, either. Best place experience I've had on Airbnb.

The hosts were very nice, easy to talk to and helpful. Anu esp. was a joy to talk to. The space was bohemian and interesting. It is rt in the heart of thins close to the Ramblas. I took the free tour that Florian offered and was VERY glad I did. Do his tour and u will avoid tourist traps and save $$ and get good info. The internet connection was good and the terrace in the large rooms was a good treat. The cons: there was noise from the bar downstairs and Anu even got me some ear plugs to help me sleep. The apartment is at the3rd floor so steps are involved. The hosts, the decor, the location make this apartment good but i suggest a siesta so u can then party though the loud night hrs :)

Florian et Anu nous ont accueillis dans leur 2ième appartement durant une semaine. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le petit tour guidé du Barrio Gotico de Barcelone fait par Florian. Nous avons eu l'occasion aussi de déjeuner avec eux et discuter de tout et de rien. Ils sont un couple très «easy-going» et ouvert d'esprit, accessibles, fiables et prêts à aider à tout moment. Je les recommande parce qu'ils ont la main sur le coeur (expression québécoise pour dire qu'ils sont généreux de leur personne) et pour moi ça a fait une différence dans notre voyage.

Excellent service...had access to all the facilities of the apartment. They showed me around despite my restraint schedule et even helped me get a Spanish phone number. I was apartment hunting and they gave me many tips and support with such a challenging adventure in Barcelona...they even offered I stay at their place if I needed more nights and the room I was in got booked...shows they care and would go the extra mile to help you..We currently keep touch and have become friends; they speak many languages and truly represent the true essence of Barcelona:Lively, charming and hospitable. For sure you will have an amazing experience w this guys in Barcelona, there's nooo way you can't. They r supper chatty n opened, thy are always looking for meeting new people and exchanging story. The most important think, they help ya since the beginning and make you feel as comfortable as possible, SO I guaranty that you wont regret meeting n' staying w this guys. If there is one person to meet in Barcelona, I would pick Jazmin, if there are 3, I will add Flo & Anu!!! I stayed a week in Barcelona in February 2012, the coldest one in the city's history but what a warm atmosphere at home! Been 2 months and we're still in touch. This is really what we call in French 'la maison du bonheur!' hapy guests, wonderful hosts and a true desire to meet people, show the best of the city and create a perfect balance of independance and conviviality! Will be back!

My best friend Ashley and I stayed at Florian and Anu's for 4 days in November 2011. There house is in the most amazing area, central to everything. I love the way they have decorated the house very eclectic and fun. We stayed in the front room which was definitely noisy. We only got to meet Florian and Anu briefly unfortunately, it would have been great to spend more time with them. Florian's adopted grandma who lives in the house was adorable though hard to communicate with as we don't speak Catalan or Spanish. All in all it was a great experience.

I met Florian a few years ago when I first came to Barcelona with my family. He was the first person I thought to contact when I moved here permanently a few months ago because he really knows his way around. He is very helpful and has shown me how to make this city accessible as someone who doesn't speak Spanish or Catalan. His place his really cool, I stayed there when I first came to Barcelona. Great host, very helpful friend - thanks a mil Flo!!!

I give this dude the thumbs up! He is very enthusiastic about life and eagar to help anyone, although I thought he was specially good at giving tour guides of Barcelona. I have stayed in his houses twice now and I absolutely loved my room. Particularly because it was so close to everything including the practical stuff - nice bakery, fruit shop and gorgeous sunny plaza just around the corner. I liked the Spanish style kitchen and often made my food in the apartment and ate it on the balcony in the room while watching the busy barcelona life pass below. The smells, noises and excitement mingling with the peace and relaxation of my own space - yes life is all about balance! :) Many thanks bro!!

Florian and I have known eachother for years, we met in Barcelona when we were studying theatre together. Today we still live here in this fantastic city enjoying it as much as we ever did and learning to share our experiences with anyone who comes to stay. With the help of our little girl, Jasmin, we manage to make the most of this magical place. Hope anyone who comes to stay here will be as enchanted as we were when we first came!
