On arrival, we were greeted by Guilhermina who provided us with the keys, some instructions on the surroundings and the apartment. The room was small but comfortable and clean with a private terrace in front of the sliding glass doors/windows that provide a few of the beautiful garden. It is very nice to wake up, open the curtains and see the sun shining down onto the lemon tree right in front of the small terrace. The location -a 15 minute walk away from the city centre and beautiful beaches of Lagos- was an ideal combination of tranquility and accessibility. We stayed for seven days and were sad to go.

Impeccable accommodation! The house was private, well equipped, perfectly clean and tidy. The host was very helpful and friendly whenever needed and very respectful otherwise. Would highly recommend Gillian's house to anyone visiting Lagos!

I had a good stay. Her location is 10/15mins walk away from the city square. It's quiet, clean and private. Best of all, the location is very close to all the beaches. There are also a couple of convenient stores nearby. One around the corner and the other 5/6 mins walk away. Good host, attentive and always friendly. The water pressure in the shower takes a little time to build up. It starts off weak, especially in the mornings, but it'll come, just be patient.

We had a great time at the appartment and in Lagos! Gillian was not there during our visit but Guilhermina was very friendly and kind and helped us with everything. The appartment is cozy and has a really sweet terrace! We would definitely come back!

Gillian (whom we didn't meet and were told resides in New York) and her mother-in-law Guilhermina were professional, responsive, and accommodating. The Airbnb room, although small, was central and quiet. However, the room had a peculiar odor (perhaps mildew?) and the bed was uncomfortably hard; the wifi signal was extremely poor and we went with little to no internet for 4 days. In the last 17 months, we've stayed at 20 Airbnbs and noticed immediately what separates an excellent Airbnb from a great Airbnb are the little personal touches. Most people visit Lagos for its incredible beaches, therefore providing basic beach towels would have been a nice, fitting touch. No blow dryer was also a letdown. And last, we were 2 people staying for 4 nights yet were supplied with only 2 rolls of toilet paper...hmmm. We were given additional rolls but had to ask twice. On a positive note: the private terrace with outdoor sink and shower was awesome after a hot day at the beach (only 10 minutes away). Overall, nice room with promise.

It's a wonderful place to stay. The room is cozy. A super nice terrace and everything you need to feel comfortable except for the Air conditioning (we would have needed it at night because of the high temperatures). It's close to the beach, not too far from the centre of the town. The neighborhood is quiet and you can leave your car along the street for free. A gently lady welcomed us very politely, she's really sweet. Highly recommended!
