Great location, away from the hub of Puerto Viejo but close enough to walk into town or Cocles. Nice little patio outside that we enjoyed most nights. Bed was comfortable. Would be a great place for a family to stay.

This house was pleasant and had the needed supplies for a stay. There are mosquito nets over both beds in the place. The bathroom with large shower was nice. There are bats living in exterior wall near door (bats have only outside access and could not enter house unless.windows are left open). Overall would stay again if visit this region again.

The place was an OK place to stay in Puerto Viejo. Seems to be about the typical setting of the rooms in the city. Adequate for what you need. Had to take cold showers for two days. Both times no one was at reception for me to ask to fix it. There is no parking except for two spaces so if you have a vehicle keep that in mind. Once we had to park down a ways and walk to the place. The path from our room to the general area greatly smelled like cat urine (there were cats on premises). But the place was clean and the fridge was clean. There were two fans because there is no AC and there really was no breeze in the city, locals said it happened to be unusually hot the days we came. Power outage our first night and no flashlight or emergency lights so make sure to bring your own!

Response from Peter Hans:
Hi Kaitlin, thanks for your feedback! We are sorry that you had problems with the shower and could not find anybody to address this, this is a family-led property and the family lives on the premises, so even if the reception is closed, there is usually always somebody to take care of this kind of problems. As for parking, we do have 2 parking spaces on the premises that are subject to availability but plenty of space on the quiet road in front of the cabin, so not sure why you had to park so far away. An AC is not advertised with this bungalow, so this is something that should have been expected after reading the description. As for the cat urine, we are sorry for the inconvenience, we put a great effort in the cleaning and maintainence of the property, but it is space surrounded by nature and animals so this kind of stuff can happen. Hope you enjoyed your stay all in all anyways. Greetings.

Great space within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops of Puerto Viejo along with nearby beaches. The room is quite large with comfortable furnishings and was very clean. Also nice sitting for dining or just relaxing just outside the front door. Check in was courteous and professional. I recommend this bungalow for the value and the comfort.
