A sweet vintage beach house full of charm and just one block to the Pacific Ocean.

This is a well loved family cottage. Incredibly peaceful, quiet and calming. You can hear the ocean from the front door and see trees from every window.

Old Faithful was built in 1887. Just about everything in the house is vintage…1950’s refrigerator, 1950’s kitchen range, original old growth redwood kitchen counter, farmhouse sink and old fashioned sink stoppers. The house and linens are cleaned with natural cleaning products.

The kitchen is outfitted with cook books, baking supplies, sharp knives and kitchen essentials such as olive oil and spices. You will also find a vintage stand mixer for cake making, slow cooker for cozy stews and an electric griddle for pancake making. A French press for coffee making is waiting…you will want to enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch in the morning sunshine.

The house sits on a double lot and there is plenty of room for outdoor play, plus two picnic tables and a fire pit. The shed is filled with balls, sand toys, beach chairs and a Weber BBQ. A much loved swing hangs from under one of the three large spruce trees on the property.

Inside there are books and movies for children and adults along with a small portable DVD player. A iPod/iPhone docking station is the only other modern diversion. Enjoy a game of bingo, scrabble or battleship.

Founded in 1885, Jack’s Country Store is 4 blocks away and a charming place to buy groceries and such. Hint, they sell the best house made jam and bacon. You will also find a red box here for movie rentals.

Adelaide’s for coffee and books is 2 blocks away. Our friend Miles (a sweet poodle) can often be found relaxing on the couch.

Oysterville, a gorgeous and historic village is 6 miles away and the place to go for fresh oysters and clams and the most delightful stroll.

The Ocean Park library is 6 blocks away and offers Wi-Fi.

maura was a great host! she was very communicative and provided a thorough guidebook for the cottage and the area. the cottage is adorable, and provides everything you could want for a beachside stay! i can't wait to go back again and hang out in that amazing cute kitchen, and go for more strolls along the beach and the dunes!
