Coco Moon Cottage-Sweet & Breezy!

We had a great time! Beautiful setting, adequate space for our family of 4. Good location for getting both north and south along the shore. Kilauea has some Yummy restaurants - don't miss the fish market - and the lighthouse is worth a visit.

We stayed at this sweet cottage for a week, and had a super time. It's a perfect place for the non-resort experience. That means: parents sleeping downstairs, 2 kids in the loft above. Single bathroom, no problem. Chickens crowing at all hours, barely audible over the breeze of fans. Modest half-outdoor kitchen, very charming. And also: beautiful huge rustic yard of grass and coconut palms. Nice jog to the utterly unspoiled, gorgeous beach. Come back, and squeeze half a glass of juice from each orange on the tree nearest the kitchen. The yard guy cut us coconut meat. Jessica (host) and Melody (caretaker neighbor) both very friendly. Unless you're looking for something very different, you'll love this place.

What a lovely cottage! Nice location, easy to head north to Hanalei or south to Kapa'a or Poipu. Simple and comfortable furnishings. Nice grounds, and close to a beautiful (if windy and not swim-able) beach. We had a wonderful stay. As another reviewer mentioned, it can be tricky to find. I would call Jessica prior to arrival to get the arrival details sorted. We just kind of showed up at night, and had to cross our fingers we were walking in to the right cottage (which we did...phew!). Overall, this is a fantastic base camp for exploring Kauai.

We stayed here for part of our honeymoon. It is a beautiful space and it felt like paradise. We never met Jessica because she was on vacation but she called us and gave her cell phone number in case we needed anything. A neighbor that helps with the property met us with her dog and she was as sweet as can be. We had fresh fruit from the property and permission to get coconuts. We enjoyed eating outside and looking at the coconut palms and seeing the stars. This was a great place!

The cottage was a perfect getaway for me traveling alone... quiet and serene.. found a lot of inspiration and beauty.. would also be a beautiful getaway for a couple or family... Jessica was friendly and helpful, easy to talk too...

We stayed at the Coco Moon with our two children, five and three years-old. We enjoyed the cottage very much. It was very quiet and private. We enjoyed being able to cook meals in the little kitchen on the Lanai. Our three year old especially liked taking baths in the giant tub and our son liked climbing the ladder to the loft bed. Mahalo.

We loved waking up to the view out the kitchen screen! The cocoanut grove and flowers are beautiful. We had many interesting talks and meals with the neighbors and even had a little campfire under the stars. The location was perfect - away from the crowds in the North and South of the island. This cottage is perfect for 2 and we found it very clean. We would love to stay again. Thank you! Pam Hellmann

The cottage was in the perfect location for a restful and easy stay on Kauai. It looked exactly like it does on the Airbnb posting. It had everything we needed, got a courtesy check in call shortly after arriving. Had lots of beach toys, and plenty of linens. Very clean and tidy. It was the perfect spot for four night stay. We stayed at Coco Moon Cottage for one week over Christmas 2011 and could not have asked for more. The space is deceivingly roomy, clean, far removed from highways and civilization and absolutely pitch black at night. The crowing roosters are heard day and night regardless of where you are on this island and just become part of the experience. At the risk of encouraging others, i felt no more at risk at Larsen's Beach than I did at Anini Beach. I wouldn't recommend venturing beyond the reef into open ocean, but if one feels the pull of the ocean and you are swimming in three feet of water, logic dictates that you stand up!! This is a very unique property & we look forward to a return visit. Thank you Jessica & Melody.

We love being away from the "resort" set. Coco Moon was deliciously located on the North side of the island. Total quiet, total peace, total fun. We loved our stay. It provided complete relaxation.

Coco Moon is a piece of paradise set against the beautiful, desolate Larsen's Beach. My family and I went to celebrate my 30th and it was more than I had ever expected from this holiday! Each morning we'd rise to the rooster's crow, to listen to the palms sway, as the lovely island breeze supported the various birds to sing their sweet melodies:)The location is absolutely phenomenal and the house is more than accommodating. The road to the property is stunning and the Molo'a fruit stand, off the highway, is one of the best on the island, as is the beach (in relation to its proximity to the house). We explored all sides of the island and feel grateful to have ended up in Kilauea and even more so, to stay at Coco Moon! Thank you Jessica for creating a space for all to enjoy and to Melody for taking such wonderful care of the propert(website hidden)i hou:)

We (me and two friends) spent a great time (about a week) at this house. The proximity to the beach, the birds in the morning, the whole location which was not too far away from other houses, the road, etc. but which was also remotely enough toactually experience the nature of the island. Additionally there was a breathtaking view (pacific to the left, coconut trees to the right), while the house itself was decorated with so much love and taste – you actually felt that somebody left you a home. Not only just a place to make some money with.

Great outdoor showers, kitchen well stocked with cooking utensils, beautiful coconut grove a nice walk down the lane to a great beach. We would definetly stay there again.Its a quiet beautiful neighboorhood with a rural feel. Make sure you contact host prior to arrival or you may be a little confused as to check-in, we arrived after dark and house was left open and ready for us, but without the help of a friendly neighbor we may not have been sure it was the right house.

This is our second Christmas at Casita Morada, and once again we enjoyed the coziness and location of Casita Morada.

Idyllisch gelegenes treetop Haus in einem verschlafenen Tal in der Nähe eines schönen Strandes. Haus sauber, hübsche Einrichtung, tolle Terrasse. Absolut empfehlenswert. Vorsicht: Hähne fangen zum Morgengrauen an zu krähen und es gibt viele davon...wir haben uns daran gewöhnt.

It´s a very nice private house, very clean and on a nice spot of Kauai, we really enjoyed stying there and of course the nearby beach!
