Nice Room in the Redwoods

We loved this room nestled in the redwoods. It was such a nice way to escape the city for the weekend. There's a big, comfy bed with warm blankets, lots of movies and books in the room to watch and read. Very nice and welcoming hosts. We took the hike to the haunted house and really enjoyed it as well. The hot tub is peaceful and very relaxing. We hope to come back for another visit soon!

Kathy and Jim hosted our friends from L.A. this past weekend. I loved their location and my friends were very pleased with their time at Kathy and Jim's place.

Jim and Kathy have taken a beautiful property and turned it into a sweet oasis that makes you feel on vacation and at home all at the same time. The cute seating places throughout the property, access to fresh veggies, herbs, and fruit, the wonderful hot tub and the beautiful fairie rings of redwoods make the place wonderful. Jim & Kathy are the consummate hosts - around to share fruit, offer recommendations, but in an unassuming way that allows you to really be on vacation. The room is simple yet has everything you need for a simple and restful stay.

Don't know if i should comment..kinda want to keep this place a secret..But the Ocean's deserve the clientele.Very peaceful and serene setting.Romantic weekend topped off with a spotless and clean hot tub(don't get that at too many places).Not to mention .very reasonably priced..We'll be back..

Beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood super close to everything one could want on the Russian River. Jim and Kathy are great hosts, with tips and stories to share. The hot tub was amazing :) They have one small rental and then a private cottage as well. Next time we will come back and rent the cottage. I love that there are only ever 4 guests here at a time. It is really private.

This is a rustic, "Russian River" style, cabin. The hot tub was a welcome sight after a long drive. We took a long soak before bed. The next day, relaxing in the hammock in the center of a fairy ring of redwoods, was another highlight. They are close to the town of Guerneville, with restaurants and river access. At the suggestion of our host we took a nighttime kayak trip in Jenner. Truly magical. Our hosts were pleasant and available when needed, but gave us our space and were in no way intrusive. Excellent place to stay! Great people, great location, great experience!

We had a great stay! Kathy & Jim are wonderful hosts! They gave us a lot of recommendations since it is our first trip to the area, it was much much more helpful than the actual visitor's center (we stopped by the visitor's center when we were in town but couldn't get a lot of info) The garden is really beautiful and has plenty of places to sit down and relax. Unfortunately we were not able to do that because of the mosquitoes. We did enjoy the hot tub which is really nice after a long drive! We would definitely go back again.

A lovely place in the Guerneville area. We did get the spend as much time in the house as we would have liked to but would definitely visit again. The accommodations were comfortable and Jim and Kathy were more than gracious hosts. The hot tub was definitely a nice touch.

A comfortable and simple bedroom arrangement offering an excellent movie and book selection. We enjoyed the hammock in the redwood fairy ring as well as the convenient river access. Overall, a serene and quiet spot nestled in the midst of a popular summer area.

Kathy & Jim were excellent hosts. Their little piece of heaven in Guerneville is truly serene and the cabin we stayed in was absolutely perfect. Yoda-Bella, their dog, would make casual little visits over to our cabin to say hello and to just hang out when we were idly lounging. My partner and I went during the off season, so it was a little cool and damp...but we enjoyed every moment of being wrapped up in nature. There is a wonderful creek in their back yard which you can actually hear from the window by the bed in the rental cabin. Truly magical. The whole property is fantastic, but they are completely surrounded by towering Redwood trees and other ominous nature that truly helps you forget all about the stresses in your life. Check them out, you will not be disappointed. We will be coming back again in the Summer for sure!

Our cabin stay was fabulous! Exactly what we needed to get away from the busy-ness of the city. We walked outside to the hot tub and you wouldn't believe how fresh the air is on the property, immediately as soon as you walk out your front door. The Redwoods are a 15 minute drive, and Kathy gave us recommendations for just the hike that we were looking for. I highly recommend this b&b and these hosts. Kathy & Jim were extremely organized, proactive and responsive in any questions we had before or during our stay. Enjoy your time!

We had a lovely weekend staying at the cottage. It was right in the middle of the rainy season, but honestly it was that much more beautiful for it. We fell asleep each night to the sound of rain pattering on the roof. In one sense, the cottage isn't really secluded, as it's located in the middle of a residential zone, steps away from the owner's home. But at the same time the street is quiet with redwoods all around, so it still felt very private. Jim and Kathy were warm and welcoming without being invasive. Upon arrival, Kathy gave us a tour of the property (hot tub, creek, hammock, etc), let us know that she was available if we needed anything, and then left us to enjoy ourselves. We loved staying here and we'd definitely recommend it to others!

A really fantastic place to spend some time in the Russian River area.

Looking for a quiet escape? Then you have found it. Kathy and Jim were generous hosts that bestowed upon my boyfriend and I with one of the most carefree getaways I have ever had. We came in the winter and became so relaxed during our stay- thanks to the fully equipped kitchen, movie collection, and library- we were shocked at how little we accomplished on imaginary itinerary. When we did manage to make it out of the cottage, we found its location to be a fantastic launching pad. With wineries, cheese shops, and local delicatessens all around you could spend an entire day just shopping for a picnic. The beach is just a beautiful 15 minute drive away, as is Korbel Champagne. OR you can stay sessile like we did most of the time and enjoy the views from the hot tub and hammock.

We had a lovely time at the cottage. The property was just as we expected, super cozy and a fun place to stay. The hot tub under the redwoods was wonderful.

Thank you for having us at your wonderful place! It was such a warm, cozy place with everything we needed for a weekend get away! The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities to cook meals, the Jacuzzi was such a nice treat and a great place to do a little stare gazing and it was the perfect size for me, my boyfriend and his dog. It was a short drive to the cute towns of Occidental, Monte Rio, Jenner and Freestone.

The cottage is perfect and private and wonderful. Jim gave us a tour of the property and suggested rad activities, like a haunted hike! Kathy and Jim are so warm and welcoming and the cottage and hot tub were splendid and I didn't want to go home! It will be a wonderful treat if you stay at their cottage in the woods.

Kathy and Jim are incredible hosts, they have the most amazing cottage and Jim was incredibly welcoming. One thing I've learned, after this being my second AirBnB stay ever, is that the reason I will forever use AirBNB over a hotel, is that when you stay with people from AirBnB they treat you like you're close family. I can't wait to come back.

The cottage itself was wonderful! We pretty much had complete privacy and the location was magnificant! I would highly recommend this little slice of heaven.
