Description

The space

The studio is below our appartment, in a 17th century building, just near the « Collège des Bernardins », rue de Poissy.

The studio, at the 2nd floor ( no elevator) is 15m3, the bed (200X160) is on a mezzanine, there’s a small bathroom with shower and WC , a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, microwave and everything needed for ccoking and eating.

Washing machine.

Fresh towels and sheets furnished.

WiFi connection available.

As we are living there, we’ll be glad to share with you the pleasure to live in this building : you go down the rue de Poissy, and , in, 3 mn, you’re on the banks of the river Seine, with a splendid view on the « chevet » (the rear side) of Notre-Dame. If you cross the river, you are on the « Ïle St Louis » and from there, « Le Marais » , la place des Vosges, la Bastille, or Châtelet and Hôtel de Ville.
Following the river, you’re 25 mn from le Louvre and the Tuileries.
If you prefer to stay on the left bank, you are in the quartier Latin, either you can climb the « Montagne Ste Geneviève » to the Panthéon, la rue Mouffetard, or go to St Michel, StGermain des Prés, le Luxembourg.
You’ll find everyrhing in the neighborood, from (lots of !) restaurants and cafés to market places, travel agencies, supermarkets, post office, banks, museums book shops, cinemas, even a zoo (Jardin des Plantes), an hospital, lots of buses stops, metro and RER stations, two major railway stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare d’Austerlitz) an easy connection to both Paris airports by public transports….
And that is only if you don’t want to walk more than 15 mn !

Despite the fact that rue de Poissy is a quiet street, the studio has sound proof windows, with good daylight coming in.

Bernard was a great and very friendly host! It was very easy to get in contact with him and his response was very quick. We arrived early and he allowed us to keep our luggage at his place, which was just one floor up. The apartment is in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Seine and very close to a few different Metro stops to get anywhere you need in Paris. The apartment is a studio setup with a loft bed and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this apartment!

This apartment is absolutely beautiful! Bernard was such a wonderful host, very easy to communicate with and got back to us quickly with any questions we had. We arrived early to Paris and met Bernard at the apartment where he allowed us to leave our bags while he finished up cleaning so we could start exploring Paris! The apartment has lots of guide books to browse through and although I read some people were having issues with the wifi, we did not have any problems during our stay. The apartment is in a very central location so close to the Notre-Dame and metro stops all around. We had an amazing time during our stay and will hopefully be back again!

While the space is small, compact even, it's perfectly sized for a couple--or single traveler--who wants a centrally-located apartment to explore the Quartier Latin and Saint Germain des Pres. Just 10 minutes' walk from Notre Dame, and a half hour to 45 minutes' walk from all the major attractions, it's great for those planning to explore Paris on foot. There's also an outdoor market five minutes away, three days a week, and several local grocery stores within a few hundred meters. And don't forget to walk around the corner to Boulangerie Eric Kayser for espresso and croissants in the morning, and to pick up your baguettes for afternoon picnicking!

The studio was great! Just as pictured, clean and neat. My wife and I stayed for 7 nights. The location was great for our daily sightseeing adventures - close to all public transport, we especially enjoyed our week long bike pass (Velib) which only cost 8€! Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, Saint Chappelle, the lovely Jardin des Plantes, etc. There were several bike stations nearby, plus a little grocery store and multiple cafes and restaurants. Having a washing machine was great but due to the small size of the studio finding space to hang clothes to dry was challenging (but doable). Bernard was very nice and responsive to a few questions we had. Easy and flexible check-in and check-out. We highly recommend!

Such a great location! A grocery store was literally 10 steps away from the apartment. A nice little cozy studio sized living space. Perfect for a couple. Less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest train station, so all of Paris is easily accessed. Great communication with the owner, stayed in contact with us until we met. If I were to ever visit Paris again I would most certainly choose to stay here.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for about four days. We can't say enough good things about it. The location was fantastic--close to public transportation and sites like Notre Dame. It was easy to get to and from the airport (CDG) via the RER metro line. The apartment was clean, spacious, and creatively laid out. The loft bed was comfortable, and the kitchenette was lovely, stocked with all sorts of cookware. Having a washing machine in the apartment was a real treat! Bernard accommodated our late arrival and our late departure; he was helpful and made himself available for questions, as he lives above the apartment. Also, he was very kind when we got lost on the way and arrived even later than originally promised. We would definitely stay here again.
