Our neighborhood: We are in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, 1 block from the subway and 1 block from the B61/B43 bus stop. Within a couple blocks there are greats bars, restaurants, an independent book store, record store, boutiques, coffeeshops, a health food store, banks, grocery stores...pretty much everything you could need. Our apartment is a 10 minute walk to McCarren park and Bedford Ave in Williamsburg, the epicenter of all that is hip and trendy.
We are convenient to the East Village and Midtown Manhattan:
4 subway stops to the East Village.
6 subway stops to Union Square
1 bus ride + 1 subway stop to the Lower East Side.
1 quick bus ride + 1 subway stop to Grand Central (or 4 subway stops, no bus)
Our space: We have a futon in the living room that comfortably sleeps 2. You would be staying in our apartment while we live there. We have wireless internet and free long distance. We are happy to offer sightseeing recommendations or train/bus/driving/walking directions.
We travel occasionally, so a higher price ($65/night) is in effect when you would have private use of our apartment while we are gone. In this case, there is a double bed in the bedroom, in addition to the futon in the living room, all of which comfortably sleeps a total of 4 people.
