Keith's apartment is a steal! For the same price as a hotel room, you get two floors, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms! The apartment is in a great location and we didn't have any issues with getting the key or with street noise. It is a little wonky in that to get to the apartment, you walk though the first floor apartment's kitchen, up more flights of stairs, and keep going until you reach the final door. Then, open the last door and go up one more flight of stairs. But it's a small price to pay for the space to rest up between eating and sighseeing. Keith was also very easy to communicate with.

Great, spacious apartment! Beware the 4 flights of super steep stairs, and make sure to go to the teal front door (there are 2 doors with the same address). There was a little bit of an issue with getting the keys, but Keith and the airbnb staff were great in getting things figured out. There are some great restaurants and bars in the neighborhood, and we loved just walking around in the area.

Quirky but interesting apartment with lots of space. Have to walk through the common kitchen for level 1 on the first floor. Not suitable if you cant cope with steep stairs but otherwise a great central spot. Five of us with 3 teenage boys. Relatively safe cosmopolitan neighbourhood (like Newtown in Sydney). Beds weren't configured right (but we found everything we needed to set up). This is a short easy walk to the Metro and around the corner are lots of restaurants and cafes so great to just chill. Seith was easy to deal with and returned emails quickly. Will stay there on our next visit to NYC.

This apartment is very spacious and clean (with some wear and tear), and the bathrooms are renovated and big (rare in NYC). The staircase is quite steep but somewhat typical of older walk-up buildings in the city. Location is great and the host is easy to contact and very accommodating.

To go to the appartment, from JFK the travel were very simple: only 1 direct way by subway! Then we needed 5-10 minutes to walk to the appartment. When we arrived, we were very satisfyed by the size of the bathrooms, bedrooms & living room. More, beers were available in the fridge ^^. As soon as we arrive we went out to find something to heat : fortunatly very closed to the appartment there were lots of restaurants. My favorite one is "Benny's burritos" (between 2nd & 1st av if I remember). It is very easy to go downtown or uptown by taxi (available in the street) or by subway (5-10 min). Finally, the host was always available by phone or email. It was useful and reassuring. We were all very satisfied by this address. I have already recommended it to my other friends & collegues.

My overall experience was really good at Keith's apartment in New York City. The location was great! Trendy, eclectic, and near everything. We could walk to Soho, the lower east side, etc. The apartment, seemed pretty safe, although the main door to the building didn't shut or lock. There was a gate on the outside of the door that DID lock, and a few other doors inside that locked before you made it to our place. The apartment in pretty bare bones. There were 9 girls staying there and we BARELY fit. The two bedrooms upstairs are nice and comfortable and the bathrooms are nice and really clean. Keith provided towels and sheets and extra blankets for the guests. The apartment was clean for the most part. There was some normal wear and tear on the floors and furniture. It seemed as though the pullout couch had not been used in awhile, bc there was some initial dirt on the mattress when we pulled it out. Keith was VERY responsive to my texts and emails and made everything very easy. There were 9 of us, so we made extra copies of the keys to make things easier. It worked out just fine. There is a TV, but it doesn't work. I wasn't sure how to hook it up to make it work, or if that was even possible. All of the other appliances worked. Overall, the stay was GREAT!! I would definitely recommend this apartment. It would be GREAT for a group of 5 or 6. 9 was a little much.

Great location, communication with Keith was great and everything worked as expected. There were three of us, and I'd say that unless you're willing to share bed the most people that would live comfortably in this apartment are four. I'm not sure I'd want to be nine here (as the listing says you can be), even with four couples. Having said that, for us this worked perfectly. Great location, everything worked as advertised, Keith is fast with replying to messages and I would definitely stay here again.

If you are flexible enough to willingly climb four flights of narrow stairs, then this is a GREAT place to stay. Very nice inside, somewhat worn public furniture, but bedrooms and bathrooms are wonderful. Very clean - very well located - we enjoyed our stay, and being able to spread out w/three adults and two teenagers. Neighborhood very, very safe, old building in good condition....as long as you can climb the stairs :)

Great location and apartment was very clean. Lots of flights to go up to get to the apartment and no cable tv but that was clear from when we booked so it was never misleading. Owner was always very responsive when we needed something which was greatly appreciated.

Un appartement très bien situé dans un quartier très vivant à deux pas de Chelsea Le seul reproche que l'on peut faire concerne l'équipement : peu de vaisselle, verres, casseroles (en tout cas pas assez pour 5), plaque électrique limitée, et les draps et serviettes de bain n'étaient pas très clean hormis ces petits désagrements, une belle opportunité

Studio très bien situé, confortable, bien équipé et clair. Quartier agréable, transports à proximité, restos et commerces aussi. Juste ce qu'il faut pour pouvoir profiter au maximum d'un séjour à NY. Comme il est situé au dessus d'une boîte, prévoir des boules quies, mais on s'y habitue très bien. et nous le recommandons vivement.

Great place to stay, convenient location, inspiring housemates. Seith is a perfect host. Tip: rent a bike at Stanford.

Sehr nettes kleines Apartment in sehr zentraler Lage. Man kann ganz Manhatten von dort aus zu Fuss erreichen.

I really loved staying here! The location could not be better. The place is truly all about location. It is a very basic apt the decor is in no way inspiring.. that said we really didn't care because we were in the heart of Manhattan!! I brought ear plugs as I knew it would be noisy and it actually wasn't so bad. The fridge and washer were both busted but we made due. We washed our clothes by hand and used the freezer as a fridge. I would not recommend this place for someone who wants to be in beautiful apt. I would recommend it for people who want to be in the heart of the city and don't really care about the aesthetics. the place is falling apart a little but for the price and location it is a steal. The bed was pretty comfortable and when we got cold there was a heater that worked fine. Keith got back to me most of the time very quickly about concerns and I picked up my key at the corner without a problem. I would definitely stay here again!

In English : - well located - shower and restrooms clean BUT : - dirty : floor, no towels at arrival... - noisy : there is a club beyond ! and the windows don't protect the noise, - owner not present for our arrival : we found the key after 1 hour and were obliged to disturb the neighbour - obliged to call AIRNB to obtain a help - just one bed and(email hidden)d sofa for I dont advise this flat ! Just for two or three young people In french Le propriétaire c'est foutu de notre gueule, ll vit à St Fransico et a mis sous gestion son appartement avec des connaissances du quartier qu'il doit soudoyer je ne sais comment! Obligé de contacter en urgence le site car pas de clés, appartement trouvé sale une fois ouvert, avons du téléphoner à plusieurs personnes pour faire intervenir une dame qui a juste changé les draps. Même pas un coup d'aspirateur alors que le sol est dégueulasse ! Sinon, fuyez!! Malgré le très bon emplaçement

I loooved the location and the price! Great service, it was cozy and close to everything! A grocer across the street, bank nearby, lovely restaurants and a beautiful park nearby as well I definitely recommend this apartment!

Like what everyone said in their reviews, Keith's apartment is at a great location! Plenty of restaurants around the place. I have spent lots of time eating around New York City this time around simply because there is so much good food close to us. Keith is also a really nice guy who replies promptly to messages. I left my laptop mouse at the apartment and Keith gladly agreed to mail it to me. The apartment is very comfortable for 3 person. The room area and bathrooms were clean, but there was some dirt stuck to the floor at the kitchen area. But overall, the place is clean and comfortable. There were a few problems we encountered in the apartment which was promptly solved by Keith. Firstly, there was no hot water in the apartment. This was solved by asking the neighbors downstairs to re-light the pilot. Secondly, the pressure valve in the room was making a lot of noise and leaking. This was solved by turning the thermostat in the kitchen down to 64.

Keith has done a very good job renovating the townhouse, I stayed there for many weeks
