AVAILABLE DATES:
December 16 to approx Feb 28.
You can email me your interest about these dates but I will probably wait with making reservations until my travel plans are completely set by end of August or mid September.
The price is different for each night - more expensive over the holidays and extra cheap in January-February, for those months I won't take any stay shorter than a week.
---
For other dates one bedroom might be available. Check my other listing "East Village Bright Haven".
There is a security deposit of $200 that will be returned to you afterwards.
Other dates might be possible (but might cost more), please send me a message about it.

Rent your own apartment sleeping 4 (or even more possible) in cool and fun neighbourhood East Village.
THE APARTMENT:
This is a very bright, clean space with all white, newly painted walls. Some exposed brick in the livingroom which gives it an arty feel. Livingroom is spacious for New York standards, which means it fits both a futon/couch and a dinner table with room for 4-5. (Remember that apartments in New York in general are smaller than in other cities). The kitchen and bathroom are both almost brand new. Kitchen has a big fridge, stove, oven, microwave and plenty of shelf space. The bathroom comes with bathtub/shower, very cool, bright theatre style lights above mirror and also here lots of space for your things.
There is a 19" flatscreen tv in the livingroom with the regular public network - no cable.
THE BEDROOMS:
There are two bedrooms, both with a new (Oct -09) full size bed (137 cm/56") that comfortably fits two people. Reading lamp, one of the bedrooms has a shelving unit, the other has a big closet with hangers and shelves. The closets are smartly built between the two bedrooms creating a buffert so there is minimum noise heard between the rooms. Window facing the street gives lots of light and it's fun to watch the East Village life happening below.
I provide clean sheets and towels for you.
If you want to, people can sleep on the futon in the livingroom so you can fit 6 people in total in the apartment. The price will be slightly higher for 6 people, depending on how many nights you take the place. Ask me about it.
THE AREA:
It's the best area in New York in my opinion! Great restaurants, bars and cafés on every corner and some of my absolute favorites are very close by like Brazilian restaurant/bar "Esperanto" with great food and live music, or fun Australian "Sunburnt Cow" with an all you can drink brunch menu. But since we are on Ave C it's a bit more quiet and less traffic than more busy Ave A or 1, which when sleeping is a good thing. (Remember though, that New York never sleeps so ear plugs might still be a good idea for light sleepers, especially on weekends when peole party late.) Tompkins Square Park is just one block away and opposite the apartment there is a green community garden so you can actually see some trees from the window, rare in Manhattan. There is a good priced supermarket and a liqour shop just one short block away.
You can walk easily to bar packed Lower East Side, the shopping on Broadway or transportation hub Union Sqr. The closest subway (1st Ave stop on L line) is 7 blocks away (8-10 min walk) and will take you directly to cool Williamsburg, to Union Sqr or the cosy West Village. It also connects with almost every other subway line in Manhattan. Many buses stop outside the front door.
MORE INFO:
There is no smoking in the apartment. I have maps and guidebooks for you to borrow. There is free wifi in all the apartment for you to use.
Other things I now have:
• Iron
• Hair dryer
• Toaster
• Coffe pot
• No AC, but one big fan in each bedroom.
Also: I've heard of people renting from others that sometimes there is no extra matress as promised or they only get one set of keys when they were told two and hosts don't show up when they are supposed to. For me it's important that things are as said and that you can always reach me with questions. That is why I try to answer all inquiries as quickly as possible and I am available on my cell and email during your stay.
If you are interested, please write me a few lines of who you are and why you are coming to New York and include any questions you might have. I'll give you a quick respons.
