  Charles is a wonderful person and a great host. We feel very lucky to have become his guests (we are first guests too) and stayed 5 nights at his beautiful apartment. He made us feel welcomed as if we were his old friends. One of the things we enjoyed most is the conversations we had with Charles. As a French teacher, he has lots of knowledge in history, language and many other things. He shared his personal stories with us too. This is my first visit to Paris. (my husband visited it twnty some years ago) Because of our amazing host, we have experienced the best of Paris. Chelsea and John

  Stay was very comfortable. The house is very well kept and Charles was very nice and helpful. The area is in the center of Paris and very well connected. Absolutely recommended.

  Charles was a wonderful host and gentleman. He was very kind to accomodate our late arrival. The directions to his apartment were good and we arrived at his secure apartment close to midnight. His particular building had a security code for the lobby and another code to get to the elevator. I believe his building was surrounded by other apartment buildings that probably had similiar set ups. The area felt safe but lively with people coming and going all the time. When looking out the kitchen window one night I watched a group of young adults make a movie. The next morning I watched parents dropping their young children off at school. It was fun observing slices of Parisian life from a short distance. The apartment was nice, the beds comfortable, and the kitchen complete with coffee maker and tea kettle. With fresh bread, pastries, and cheese we found you can get by quite nicely without a microwave. Charles provided us with a wealth of information that proved very useful during our stay in Paris. Detailed information on transportation was especially appreciated.

  Charles was very prompt and halpful when we rented. The apartment was great for 3 people. The kitchen was excellent. The phone and Internet connections never worked. This during a 12-day stay. Charles was away and my pleas to have this fixed were met with promises and well-meaning attempts by a very bust friend and niece. On one occasion we waited 4 hors for a technician. A lot of our time was impacted by this unexpected situation.

  The apartment is lovely, fits very well a family of four. Charles is a great guy, very helpful and warm ( we weren't expected to meet him but luckily we did). We are quite lazy- writing the review in 8 months delay (but memory is vivid).
