Very nice apartment/private terrace

My husband and I were thrilled to stay in Marta's apartment for 3 days at the end of our Spain trip. She, her boyfriend, and the neighbors we met were extremely friendly and helpful, and allowed us plenty of privacy. It was an easy walk to La Rambla, Gracia, and a few different metro lines. El Raval is my favorite neighborhood in Barcelona. While the neighbors were certainly audible at times, the quality of life, entertainment, and food wasn't to be beat. Marta and Joan's restaurant was by far the best tapas we had on the whole trip, it is a must visit! The terrace was a lovely plus as well and was very easy to access. Gracias, Marta!

My wife and I spend the last 2 days of our Spanish trip at Marta's, and it was wonderful. First of all, Marta went out of her way to help us by allowing us to leave our luggage at her restaurant for over a week, as we started our trip in Barcelona and went down to Andalucia, and then she helped move our luggage to her apartment before we arrived. The apartment itself was great. Best kitchen that we had for the whole trip, but that's a given because Marta and her boyfriend run a nice restaurant just downstairs, with GREAT food. Thanks to Marta for rounding out our great trip!

Nice place to stay in Barcelona! We did not meet Marta, but her boyfriend was kind and showed us around the place. Location is just perfect - the centrally located places could be reached easily on foot, we even didn't try services of Barcelona's public transport (except aerobus)! Apartment is cosy and has everything one needs for a short-time holiday. We did not use much terrace because 1) you have to exit apartment and pass other apartments to reach it; 2) the weather was not that warm to sit there for breakfast, for example. Neighborhood was a little bit extraordinary, police together with ambulance showed up twice, but we did not have any problems with it neither walking home at night, nor day. All in all - our stay was nice - just beaware - wash the floor (and don't pay attention to the fact that there is a cleaning fee) before leaving if you don't want to get a bad feedback from the host ;)

Marta and Joan have a beautiful apartment. It had everything we needed, and more! The coffee maker was a nice bonus! We ate at their restaurant, which we highly recommend. The food was fantastic, and we had a great chat with Marta over desert. The hot water heater malfunctioned on a Sunday, and Marta was quick to respond and had someone over to fix it within a matter of hours. This is the place to stay in Barcelona.

Despite Frommers warnings we found our stay in the Ravel both enjoyable and as safe as any large city. Several very good restaurants including Marta and Jean's excellent tapas restaurant are within easy walking distance of the apartment . Barcelona is a late night city so the streets have many people out until midnight. To experience local flavor expect to eat dinner after 9:30.

Marta's apartment was wonderful. Very close walking distance to the La Rambla area and most anything else was connected by metro which was very close. Host and Apartment was very accommodating and it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Barcelona is amazin, and the apartment is very beautiful and confortable. joan welcome us and was kind. I loved the city and the apartament is Near to subway And makes you get anywere easely. I hope to return again. Thanks Marta!

Marta's place was lovely, clean, true to photos, with a nice private terrace and access to great neighborhoods. She was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, I highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a place in Barcelona!

This is a great apartment within walking distance of the old town. It is close to multiply metro stations but we found that we could walk most places anyway. We found the neighbourhood a bit daunting at first (we are use to tiny Adelaide, Australia), but had absolutely no trouble for the time we are there. The apartment had all the amenities we could asks for, including keys to our own private roof top terrace (one small flight of stairs from the apartment).

Great apartment and great location! Would definately recommend Marta and her place. Nice and open space with airconditioning. Would definately stay there again. Thanks Marta!
