***CURRENTLY ONLY AVAILABLE TO FORMER GUESTS***

I live in Alexandria, VA, a quaint suburb on the outskirts of DC. Alexandria is a 15 minute car ride (w/out traffic) or a 20 minute subway ride into DC. For more information about Alexandria, visit the website: visitalexandriava dot com.

For $40 a night:

I have a loveseat that pulls out into a twin bed, a twin air mattress, and a queen size air mattress (they all come with fresh linens, of course) and you will be sleeping in the family/living room of a fully furnished and nicely decorated one bedroom/one bathroom apartment with hard wood floors throughout, paid washer/dryer down the hall; cable; DVD player; iPod speakers; bookcases packed with fiction, non fiction, bestsellers, biographies, and children’s books; my elliptical; wireless internet; bathroom with a shower tub and clean towels, and fully equipped kitchen stocked with the basics! You will also have access to the outdoor pool (in the summer) and picnic tables and grills on property.

The fun stuff:

The apartment is located a few hundred feet off the Potomac River in a section of town called Old Town, Alexandria. Old Town is tree-lined, scenic area of the Alexandria rich with history and culture. It is just 2 miles from 2 subway stations (King St and Braddock Rd stations) and 1 subway stop from Ronald Reagan National Airport. The city bus stops on property and will take you to the subway station in 10 - 15 minutes and the subway can then take you anywhere you want to go in the metropolitan area (i.e. you can get to downtown DC in 20 minutes). Please see this website for more information about the area’s public transportation system: wmata dot com.

The neighborhood is very safe, clean, and friendly. There is a mini mart on site and the apartment is within 2 blocks of a coffee shop and a few restaurants and a 15 minute walk from the heart of the city which includes a variety of bars, restaurants, coffee shops (Starbucks, Cosi), lots of shopping (Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Ross, Gap), grocery stores, art galleries and convenience stores (CVS, Rite Aid). I will also leave out metro maps, bus schedules, and several menus for restaurants with great food and delivery.

I will only rent to a person who will be courteous of the apartment and the neighbors around it. I am a respectful tenant and as such will only rent to similar people. You can come and go as you please, when you please; all I ask is that you do not invite people over without pre-approval or play loud music.

Kids are welcome and there is no charge for children under 4 years of age.

FYI - My apartment complex is an older one but is still very comfortable. Trash pick up is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 7:00am - 8:00am and can be a little loud. It the warmer months, people are out walking and talking so you may hear some of that but by no means is the area loud and or unsafe. It's a quite beautiful area - it's just what you'd expect from a nine story apartment complex!
