TV, video and DVD player with a wide variety of dvds and old videos of many different genres including wild life,,classics, historical drama and the popular romantic comedies.
We also have a beamer in the main living room and if time allows we enjoy watching a film together with our guests.
Our garden is on a small canal and it is possible to have breakfast on the waters edge or even sit and fish!! Take our rowing boat for a row down the canal :0)
There are bicycles available for your use. In the summer months you can use the local bicycle ferry to cycle to Rotterdam.
A special fast bus which leaves from across the road takes you to Rotterdam in 15 minutes. This bus takes you straight to The large Zuidplein shopping mall and Ahoy, host to the North sea Jazz festival and many international artists.
Buses run till 12.35 on the Friday night and during the night on the Saturday,leaving from Rotterdam central at 03;13 in the morning.
Oud-Beijerland is a beautiful historical town with its own yatching harbour and typical Old Dutch architecture. There is a long dyke lined with boutiques,specialty food stores and anything else you can think of.

Everything from Chinese, Japanese,Italian,Greek and French to Belgian Cantonese and of course Typical Dutch . And of course the take awy Thai,Pizza,Chinese and Shoarma.
On Wednesdays there is a market with more than 40 stalls flanking both sides of the canal in front of the historical townhall.
In the nearby village of Heinenoord is an amazing historical museum showing many scenes of everyday life in the Netherlands of the past. Close by is also the recently restored windmill of Goidschalxoord.
To see a windmillgrinding the wheat and Rye you have to be here on a saturday and visit the town of Zuid-Beijerland,only 10 minutes by car and 35 by bike and whilst there you can drive another 10 minutes and take the bike ferry to the nature reserve island of Tiengemeten with its Rien Poortvliet Museum and national nature museum.
The Hoekse Waard is a great area for cycling and has many wild life reserves.
There are even wild buffalo and horses in the nature reserve nearby. You can also visit the free wildlife visitors centre where the expositions show all the wildlife which can be found in the area. See more tips in the guide book!
