  • Nice apartment in a sketchy neighborhood. Street views of the apartment would be helpful to guests unfamiliar with Philadelphia's neighborhoods.

  • My husband and I enjoyed our overnight stay at the “Trinity” house. As first time users of Airbnb, we were pleased that Ula was friendly and offered great communication while making the arrangements and upon arrival. It was an especially nice touch that she had prepared home-made bread for us and had espresso handy. The house was clean, well decorated, and conveniently located within walking distance to public transit. Based on the reviews, we expected a futon but were pleasantly surprised to find a real bed, as well. The steps are steep, but kind of fun too--we thought it was a true Philadelphia experience!

A delightful slice of history in a great neighborhood, close to transport, good food, coffee and all the necessities.

  • We had a great time staying at Ula's place. She provided easy to follow directions and great recommendations. The place was comfortable and well kept. I can see how the stairs may be a challenge for some people though, very vertical. The place was clean and the provided food was a nice touch. The bed left a little to be desired however. Small, hard and covers were;t big enough for two people comfortably. The proximity to the "el" train was very convenient for going into the city. Not a bad location or place for a couple nights in Philly. Ula was great and very accommodating with any requests/arrangements.

  • Very cute place. Small, but perfect for a couple, and the backyard is charming. LOVE the neighborhood it's located in--tons of great coffee, food, bars, etc, within walking distance. I'd definitely come back. The only thing to note is that the apartment has 2 flights of steep and winding stairs, so maybe not a great option if you have small kids or tend to be accident prone :)

  • Ula left us a delicious loaf of bread, butter, jam and coffee for our arrival. The garden was small but really lovely to have access to it. Ula was also kind enough to allow us to bring our small dog. A Trinity house in Philly is from the colonial period and is a very small home (600sf?) with an extremely vertical staircase. The staircase is so steep, there will be some who can not manage it. I spoke to the neighbors next door who said in the past year each of them had fallen down the stairs once, sort of an initiation. I would warn that you may want to carry a flashlight especially if you arrive at night. The entrance to the home is in the back of the house and you must walk through a dark, unlit alley to enter through the garden. The neighborhood is in a more struggling part of Philly, though on the internet it is listed as up-and-coming, it has a lot of empty overgrown lots. This seems to be happening a lot in Philly, but I felt the price was a bit high given the neighborhood and the challenges of the house, plus the bed is a futon on a metal frame which was a tad too small length-wise for my 5'11" husband. This is the first time Ula has rented out this home, so perhaps some of these issues will get resolved in time.
