Guest access

The full apartment, top floor of our house. Lounge, balcony, double bedroom and bathroom with bath. We live on the two floors below, so you don't need to worry about picking up keys, unless by arrangement. We are in and out ourselves, so don't worry about coming back late from a concert or theatre. Check-in is from 5pm, please let me know your arrival time and check-out is 10am weekdays and 11am weekends.

Interaction with guests

We really love to meet and welcome people from all over the world to share our beautiful home and city of Bristol. The apartment is totally self contained - you can hide away for days, and not see anyone - for a really relaxing stay.

The neighborhood

We love the community here, very artistic, creative and diverse. Whether people are planting apple trees in the community orchard, or tending the station garden, doing yoga, singing, pop-up shops or restaurants .... people have fun and enjoy living here and contributing to the community.

Getting around

Bedminster station is a 3 minute walk from the house, Bristol Temple Meads 20/25 minute walk. You can get a train from Temple Meads to Bedminster (4 minute journey). The Airport flyer stops at Asda and we are a 7 minute walk away. Buses 75/76 stop nearby again, 7 minute walk. 15 minute taxi ride from Coach Station. It is very easy to walk around Bristol and to the centre we are a 15/20 minute walk - Harbourside. Recommend Yellow Cabs taxi: , for integrity, efficiency and price.

Other things to note

We have a wonderful park Victoria Park few minutes walk. Tennis courts, bowling club, very 'welcoming' Church, local shop and a fabulous pub (The Windmill) for home cooked food and real ale. You often see the hot air balloons in the Summer and Cameron Balloons is very near, where they make balloons. Firework displays are amazing, not just New Year.

There are no black out blinds in the lounge (just some blinds to shield for the sun).

Bristol water is good - you don't need to buy plastic bottled water ...

We have adaptor plugs for our overseas guests.

Thoroughly recommend this air b'n'b! Absolutely lovely apartment, with tea and coffee facilities, bath/shower, television and balcony with wonderful views across the city. Twenty minute walk to centre of town, nice quiet area on top of a hill. Host Susan is kind and friendly. Entrance to the apartment trough the main house.

Had a wonderful stay in Bristol, this was mainly down to our stay at Susan's. The location was ideal for what we wanted, the local pub yards from the house served delicious hearty food. Susan made the experience with her knowledge of the area; advice and general attentiveness. Thank you for a great time

Suzie was an amazing host, really surprised us with her hospitality! Just what we needed after a long and stressful drive. She made is feel special and at home - there not much more a person can ask for. The flat was very beautiful and homely and the view out of the terrace was amazing! I couldn't recommend it more, especially with such a host!

This is a great place to explore Bristol. Susan couldn't have been more helpful and was happy to give us advice on where to go. The flat has great views over the city. Breakfast is included which was great and there was a selection of drinks. We would stay here again and would recommend. You can get great pie and mash at the local pub which is a little bonus.

Fantastic place to stay, views from the balcony are amazing, Dixie was very helpful and flexible with check-in and check-out times which helped greatly, will defiantly be looking if this is free when we come back to Bristol. Thank you again Suzie.
