  Unforgettable and unbeatable is only two of the many positive words that pop into my head when I think about our Stay with Louise, Mark and Anna. We could not ask for better hosts and more beautiful and comfortable accommodation. The bus that goes to town literally stops right outside the door which makes travelling to and from the city centre as well as the airport very easy. The room was excellent, neat and the bed was a dream! The private en suite bathroom really makes a difference and we will not think twice about staying with them again in future!

  We had a wonderful few days stay in Dublin, with Louise, Mark and Anna being the perfect hosts :) They were friendly and helpful yet unobtrusive, we had great chats but also came and went at our leisure. The room is lovely, well laid out, bright and spotlessly clean. We had lovely weather during our stay and we really appreciated the door to the garden where we had our morning coffee. The location is good, while not being in the city centre, it had its benefits. I run every morning and found the river walkway and the Phoenix park (both 3 minutes run away from the house) provided wonderful tracks and scenery. While we ate out most of the time, we did avail of breakfast, which we were assured we could help ourselves to whatever we wanted from the well stocked fridge and cupboards, whenever we rose, this suited us perfectly. Transport to the city takes about 15 minutes, usually we waited about 5 minutes for the bus, on a Sunday we had to wait 15. I recommend buying the 3 day bus pass, which you can use to get from the airport to the house and then for all bus travel for 3 days (this included the green bus city tour). Our hosts were on hand to give advice on day tours outside of Dublin, places to eat and pubs to go to. If you're visiting Dublin, I strongly recommend you make this your base, you'll be glad you did.

  Lovely hosts :) Louise and Mark were awesome and always available. Since our arrival, when we needed to eat something in the city and Mark took us there, to the end of our stay, when we were looking for a rent-a-car. In between there was always something to eat/snack at home. It just feels like home. :)

  I cannot say enough great things about Louise, Mark and Anna...they helped to make my stay in Dublin a perfect one. I was traveling on my own and after a long flight and an interesting multi-bus journey from the Dublin airport, I finally arrived at their home. Louise and Anna were there to welcome me and even shared their meal and a glass of vino with me. I could have have had better treatment at a 5-star hotel! Their home is in Chapelizod which is a village a bit outside of the Dublin City Centre. While it is not within walking distance and you would want to use the bus system, to stay in a comfortable, warm and very homey space with lovely hosts was definitely worth a bit of extra transit time. The bus literally picks you up outside their door and it is very easy to get to the City Centre. I wanted to experience Dublin as much like a local as possible and was definitely able to do so. Louise, Mark and Anna shared their home, their food, many tips and pointers about the city and their great senses of humor with me and I will really miss seeing them everyday.

  5 star stay! Louise and her family are lovely, friendly and informative. Any questions about dublin, just ask!! The house is beautiful, and the room and guest bathroom are both spotless and inviting. We definitely appreciated our chocolate treat on arrival! Highly recommend staying here.

  Louise and Mark were fabulous hosts -- helpful, kind, and very pleasant to chat with. My only regret was that we didn't get to know them better -- we were so jet-lagged that we slept past noon each day! But when we did finally get up, there was a lovely breakfast waiting for us. The accommodations were charming and comfortable as well. Thank you, Louise and Mark!

  Louise and her family were the perfect hosts for our stay during St. Patrick's day. They were the kindest hosts as they even took us to Dublin center to get a bite at 23.00 on our arrival and to the rental car station on our departure. Thanks for a great time.

  Louise, Mark and Anna could not have been more gracious, warm, and patient hosts. Their home is lovely, clean and comfortable. Staying with them is more like staying with family than with strangers, and the proximity of their house to the city center was perfect. I can't recommend a stay with this wonderful family enough!

  I stayed over at the Caldwell's for a couple of days and it was really good. They are a very nice family and the atmosphere in their home is great. The accomodation is just perfect. Highly recommendable.
