Epicurean Clerk - Huge, Central!

Absolutely great place to stay, we had a really great weekend. The apartment is really spacious, it is very well located, clean, cosy and has a personal feel to it; great interior design! Furthermore the hosts are friendly, great plus. Real recommendation.

Spent 4 nights at this apartment, loved it to bits. Very much my style with the old wooden floor boards and very high ceilings. Took me a little getting used to though as I've only really stayed in simple, modern apartments but after my first night it felt homely and warm. Apartment was clean and nicely laid out. There is a TV but only the one, I'm used to having TVs in bedrooms but didn't miss them since I was often tired from long days out in Edinburgh. There is also a PS2 which we never used but I would imagine handy to entertain any kids you take with you. If you plan to use the internet be sure to take a WiFi extender, there is a rather thick wall which prevents the WiFi from getting beyond the master bedroom where the router is. Just a tip for anyone desperate for a WiFi connection throughout the apartment. There is a fantastic place for breakfast just a minutes walk down the street called Metropole which makes beautiful Eggs Benedict. So nice in fact my usually frugal little brother tipped the chef £3 of his £20 he took with him for toys. Another place to go is about 15 minutes walk in the other direction closer to the town centre called Cise Roma which makes very nice Italian food. The waiter is also especially nice and even got my brother to sit at peace for an entire hour which I've never seen before. Overall had a fantastic stay in this beautiful apartment, would certainly rent again if I ever needed something as large again.

Very nice flat especially for a group of friend.

What a wonderful apartment! I stayed here with six friends over Hogmanay and it was the perfect place to stay. It's very spacious and the kitchen is great for cooking up a feast and the living rooms are great for chilling out and catching up with old friends. Its a short walk to Hollyrood Park and not too far a wander from the Royal Mile. I highly recommend it! The host was very quick to respond to any questions I had prior to our stay. Thanks Michele!

just one word..AMAZING!!!!the flat is huge and as perfect as in the pictures. we had an amazing graduation weekend in the flat and looking forward to come again next time. We felt home!

We had a wonderful stay in Edinburgh at Epicurean Clerk. Spacious, comfortable, and wonderfully decorated. We ran around the flat like children checking everything out when we arrived. 6 of us stayed for the weekend, and were so spread out at times, there were moments I felt I was alone in the flat! But it was also a wonderful space to come together and play a board game, share a meal, and use as a hub to explore the city. Easy walk to the center of town and Arthur's Seat. No complaints; would definitely stay again.

this really is a home from home! Epicurean Clerk is beautifully decorated and furnished. The place was very clean, yet managed to retain a homely, lived-in feel. So much nicer than staying in a b&b, it was real pleasure to come back to a place filled with books, paintings and a piano. the rooms are huge, with original fireplaces and cosy lighting. and the kitchen has every utensil you could possibly need to cook a proper meal. the location was perfect, we were able to walk each day to the grassmarket, into town and beyond. and returned by bus when it rained (there are several regular buses from the street outside which cut through town). plus it was a very reasonably priced cab rid home when we stayed out late. we were lucky enough to stay here for 3 days and when i visit the city again i'll definitely be looking to see if this place is free. thanks Michele!

My husband and I stayed in this flat and had a wonderful week. The location is fantastic as lots of busses pass right out front, plus you can walk to loads of restaurants, shops, and more. The flat itself is beautiful. It is large and open with great windows. The kitchen is terrific and bathroom modern. The sitting room is a real gem and we really felt at home here. This flat lets you experience Edinburgh life in a classic yet comfortable building. My husband and I highly recommend Epicurean Clerk on South Clerk Street and think anyone that stays here is lucky.
