Need a break from your hectic life?

We enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area. The hosts were very friendly and assisted us with every need, including making dinner reservations.

Wenche and Wyett are wonderful hosts! We truly enjoyed getting to know them. Their bed and breakfast is gorgeous, spotless, and comfortable. Breakfast was whenever we wanted it and sumptuous. Their home really is only 10 minutes from downtown Charleston and well worth the drive.

Staying with Wenche and Wyatt was delightful; truly the highlight of our vacation to Charleston! We were treated as friends, and given valuable assistance in planning our vacation time. Breakfasts were enormous, delicious, and included a wide variety of offerings. The house is beautiful and comfortable, located only a short drive from many and varied attractions.

My wife and I had a great time staying with Wenche Fox and her Husband Wyatt. We felt like members of the family. Initially we were concerned about staying in Mt. Pleasant but it was not a problem as we would drive most days to look at the Old Plantations and also the Tea Plantation. We would definately stay there again.

This was our first Airbnb stay and it was such a great experience that it certainly would not be the last. We stayed in the Red room, a charming and cozy bedroom on the 2nd floor, for the Easter weekend. The whole house is very clean and well-decorated. Coming from NYC, we also loved the refreshing grass scent in the garden. Wenche & Wyatt were great hosts, super sweet and hospitable. They were very helpful in helping us figure out where to go and where to eat. We had a great lunch at the nearby Graze restaurant upon arrival and Wenche's recommendation of Magnolia Plantation was also excellent. If you rent a car (cheap in Charleston), the house is only 5-min drive from the city-center touristy area. Highly recommended...wish we could stay longer.

Our stay just outside of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant was very comfortable, especially considering we were recuperating from food sickness! Our hosts, Wenche and Wyatt treated us with wonderful care and concern and certainly helped us get back on our four feet :) Their beautiful home was just the place to relax and enjoy Wenches' many talents as a decorator. They are sweet and fun and we couldn't recommend them enough for anyone travelling to the lovely and historic Charleston area. Thanks to you both! Pam & Dan

This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast, and my wife and I were a little anxious about staying in someone's home. Wynche and Wyatt made us feel completely comfortable from the moment we met them until the time we left. Wynche prepared a beautiful breakfast every morning that was a perfect start to the day to see beautiful Charleston. Their home is gorgeous and the rooms were comfy, but having such wonderful hosts is the main thing that made my wife and I never want to stay in a hotel again. I would recommend Wynche and Wyatt to anyone wanting to see Charleston, but especially to anyone who hasn't stayed in a BnB before. There's no doubt that they will make you feel right at home.

Wenche & Wyatt are the perfect hosts. They are considerate, hospitable, honest and friendly. We were greeted with smiles and a glass a wine. Wenche shared her opinions on what to do and where to go. I think we took just about all of her suggestions. The house is clean, vibrant and welcoming. It worked out best for us to stay here and drive into Charleston for the evening. We didn't have to fuss too much with parking or moving the car. Once we found a spot, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. I would recommend staying here, and my husband and I would certainly stay again if we make our way back to Charleston.

We stayed in the Red room for 3 nights, and had a great experience. Since it was low-season for Charleston (mid-January), we were the only ones in the place. Wenche and her husband are warm, welcoming, and flexible. The room was large and the bed was incredibly comfortable - probably the best night's sleep I've gotten in a while. They were also very helpful in figuring out tourist sites, restaurants, and other places to visit. If it was warmer, the outdoor areas and screened patio would have been a great place to hang out and sip some wine. Good breakfast provided too. As for location, it was a quick, short drive across the bridge to downtown Charleston, so a convenient location, with free parking in front.

Wenche and Wyatt are an eccentric pair who love chatting up their guests! We were impressed by their beautiful breakfast service and attention to detail (i.e., preparing our room for sleeping, the nightlight in the bathroom, drawing personalized maps).

Excellent location. I wanted to stay in downtown but everything was booked. Originally disappointed, but was glad in the end. We were perhaps 5 minutes from downtown with easy drive both ways. And we had the bonus of no urban noise. And the hospitality by Wynche was outstanding!

as first experience on airbnb we found that our choice was meeting our expectation. the location was charming and decorated with a lot of phantasy and dedecation. the close vicinity to charleston is another very important advantage. the room and sanitary were perfect and the hosts were splendid and very much caring. specially for international travellors wenche is perfect in norwegian, italian and even some german... don´t miss the recommendation for the close-by restaurant! it was perfect. and if you want to play golf: your hosts have the answer. compliments

Great people and location! The Fox family is very welcoming and accomidating. They had great area information and the location is close to all of the local attractions.

We couldn't have wished for nicer hosts. Not only were Wenche and Wyatt eager to please with lots of suggestions about Charleston/Mount Pleasant, their house is spacious and beautiful. We would recommend them to family and friends anytime.

We had a wonderful stay with Wenche and Wyatt. They were so warm and hospitable and also very knowledgeable and helpful about things to do and places to eat. They made us feel very welcome and at home - sharing stories over a glass of wine was fun! The house is lovely and very convenient for the Ravenel Bridge to the old town as well as for the nearby beaches.

I had never stayed in a B&B before and was a little hesitate about doing so but was so taken with Wenche's B&B on her website that we gave it a try. What a blessing it was. I cannot begin to say enough about Wenche and her husband Wyatt. They are so very friendly and charming. Would do almost anything to make your stay a good one. Out of all of the things we saw and did in the Charleston area, staying with them is at the top of my list. Wonderful memories and what a beautiful home they have. I only hope to see them again some day.

If you enjoy the bed and breakfast experience, the Foxtale B & B in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. should not be missed! Wenche and Wyatt provided superior service and hospitality in their lovely home. Breakfasts were great, and their location offered easy access to the Charleston and Savannah areas. We stayed four nights and had a wonderful time. Hope to return in the future!

Our stay in Charleston was mostly for business, but staying with Wenche made it more like a vacation. The accomdations were extremely comfortable and the entire experience was so relaxing. The location was so convenient, especially considering all the travelling we had to do in the area. Wenche made an excellent breakfast each morning and was beyond helpful in advice for our future living arrangements and wedding planning. We will certainly be back. It would be silly to look anywhere else for a place to stay when visiting Charleston.

Friendly and accommodating. Wenche and Wyatt opened their home to us and gave us a resident's perspective on the Charleston area. The home is just outside the city and great for anyone looking for a personal connection rather than a formal hotel.

Wenche is my mom and she and her husband has the greatest BnB in all of South Carolina :) She has always had a great love for entertaining and taking care of people and it all works out beautifully now through AirBnB (as you can see in the comments her guests leave her). If you want a beautiful and peaceful home to rest in, amazing breakfasts and interesting conversation this is the place to stay :)
