THINGS TO NOTE (very important! please read everything here!)

-If you are sensitive to noise, this may not be the place for you. Sound seems to travel in this building and most nights are fine but once in a while, neighbors can be a bit noisy. Earplugs usually do the trick though. Complete transparency!
-You have to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to this apartment.
-This is "railroad" style 2 bedroom. Meaning those who stay in the 2nd bedroom must walk through the first bedroom to get to the living room, bathroom and kitchen. However both rooms have doors so there is full privacy otherwise.
-The building is a pretty typical old, pre-war walk-up NY bdlg. Nothing fancy--the hallways and staircase to get to the apt will NOT impress you but everything you need and the location is fantastic.
-I can assure that the apt will be clean when you arrive but this IS an old bdlg so if you are the type of person that needs things to be pristine of have a slight case of OCD, this is probably not the place for you!
-My experience of the place has been that its pretty quiet at night but I had one person say that he could hear neighbors talking late at night--so if you're sensitive to noise, also probably not the right fit for you!

*Only those who will be respectful to neighbors and considerate to the space please. No "party" types. No exceptions.

  • Our host was very attentive and cordial. The neighbors are incredibly friendly and the apartment is in a prime location. We had a park across the street and we were close to so many amenities.

  • Julie was great! A group of 4 of us stayed at her apartment, and it turned out to be a great first time experience with AirBnB. Julie was very responsive to my questions before I booked, and offered a few helpful tips before our arrival to NYC. She gave clear instructions to her apartment. When we got there, there was a small problem with the key -- but she responded within minutes to my text and came with the correct key in less than 10 minutes. The location is GREAT. There are delicious restaurants within 1 block, and the walk to Broadway is about 10 minutes.

  • We had a wonderful time in New York, with our pied-a-terre near Times Square. The location was great, close to metros, and there were lots of restaurants nearby also. Julie was welcoming, responds rapidly on any questions and is really.helpful. All the instructions about finding the place and the key were impeccable and everything worked perfectly. If you are looking for a place in NY, this is a good choice.

  • Julie was a really great host. Whilst we never actually got to meet her face to face she was really accommodating in getting the cable tv fixed on several occasions. She also left a folder on the lamp table for us when we arrived with all the details/instructions needed for her apartment plus a list of places to eat etc. If there were any problems she was really easy to get in touch with. Her apartment was in a real convenient location. Most places were within walking distance which was great. The neighbours are adverse to sound and noise but that is manageable too.

  • The apartment itself is in good condition and clean, it has everything you need. Unfortunately we did not meet our host, it's always nice and helpful to be welcomed from somebody, by the way in the apartment she left all useful information. Unfortunately the apartment is located in a dirty building, once you enter the entrance door it feel all dirty and stinky. When we left there were painting going on so i guess it will look more clean at the end. Juliea agreed for a late check out which was very appreciate!

A very well located apartment in Midtown, easy access by foot and subway for us to do our week of business mixed with pleasure in NY. The apartment was very clean, except for the some windows. The beds are comfortable, all appliances worked well although a more advanced coffee machine would be nice! Last but least the price is great - for NEW YORK. However one thing must be said, the hallway is terrible dirty! A neighbour ´s meeting is very needed! Otherwise a very good experience, nice street, friendly and safe surroundings!

  • Julie's apartment was in a fantastic spot close enough to the action and great food outlets. We felt totally safe and found peace and quiet for a breather in between plenty of interesting outings and adventures nearby. Close to broadway shows, able to walk home with ease and confidence. Comfy beds and well equipped.

  • El apartamento lo encontramos bien arreglado y adecuado. La ubicacion en el area de middlen town excelente. El unico problema que encontramos fue el de las escaleras por lo angostas y mal mantenidas.

  • I had an awesome stay! Julie was sooooo amazing and went out of her way to accommodate me which I am sooo grateful for! She's a life saver and I am glad that there are people in this world like her! The apartment is very cozy, clean and stocked with essentials. The bldg is a bit old but I actually liked that about the apartment. The neighbors are sensitive to sound so keep that in mind. Other than that, the location is great! Checkin/Checkout was a breeze.
