The space

My unit was renovated and is fully furnished. Located on the fourteen (14th) floor, as well as a panoramic view from the large (116sqft) tiled lanai (balcony) with views of both the historic Ala Wai Canal, swimming pool and the lush green mountains surrounding Waikiki. A large table and chairs are on the lanai for you to enjoy lovely Hawaiian sunsets.
The studio have a queen size bed and a sofa bed that sleeps two as well as a double closet with an abundance of space. The kitchen is complete with a large refrigerator , a two-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker, rice cooker ,kettle, toaster, glasses, dishes, utensils..........

All is provided for your convenience.

The condo has a full bathroom, which is tiled, includes a shower and soak tub. Fresh bed linens, bath and beach towels, and hair dryer are provided.

There is an ironing board, iron, and built in combination safe for your valuables inside the closet.

Free Secure Wifi inside your room, Cable TV, AC, Combination Safe, 24hr Security. You will find everything you need to have a great time.

On the lobby you will found tour and activities operator and coffee place.

The entire sixth (6th) floor is devoted to the many amenities for your enjoyment and leisure during your stay. Amenities include a very large Pool with views overlooking the Canal and mountains, Community Sized tiled Jacuzzi, Dry Sauna, New Fitness Center featuring excellent equipment and a view of the Pool while you work out, Many Cabanas and lounge chairs for sun worshipers and benches for romantic stargazing and conversation, as well as Numerous BBQ grills and tables for outdoor cookouts. You also have a Mini Market open until midnight and 24hr Laundry, all on the vast, expansive sixth floor. Security is 24hrs.

The neighborhood

Located at 445 Seaside Avenue in the heart of Waikiki, it faces the Ala Wai Canal. It is only two (2) blocks to Waikiki beach and walking distance to all the restaurants, shops including Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and the Duty-Free Mall (DFS), and the grocery store is only one (1) minutes walk away. One block from Bus stops that can take you to any destination, whether you want to hike Diamond Head, Snorkel at Hanauma Bay, explore North Shore, visit the historic Pearl Harbor or go clubbing on Hotel Street in Chinatown or do more shopping at Waikele Outlets or Beautiful Ala Moana Mall. It’s only two (2) blocks from the beach.

You can rent a car, a bicycle or mopeds one (1) mn.

For the people who like to run in the morning or at sundown, we are across a beautiful jogging path along the canal (Ala Wai Blvd.)

About the parking if you decide to rent a car :
As all the cities in the world the parking is expensive however you have few options but keep always in mind than the location of the apartment it's perfect and you only need a car if you want to go to the north shore , Kailua or another part of the island, you don't need a car for Waikiki.

You can park for free on Ala Wai Blvd ( long canal ) you just need to move your car on Mondays and Fridays except holidays from 8:30am to 11:30am for street sweeping. You can park in my our condo for $30 day ( private company).

Other things to note

I have also five studios on the 15th ,18th X2 , 22th and 29th floor all my apartments are located in the most famous condo Island colony, you can see the pictures and reviews on my Airbnb full profile. The price than Airbnb communicated to you before you reserve included everything ( tax, cleaning fee , electric....) no bad surprise on check in or check out.
About Island Colony
The Island Colony condo stands on Ala Wai Blvd & Seaside Ave, in the middle of the main stretch of Waikiki. Walk 2 blocks and you're looking at the middle of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, with the hotel that shares that name right behind it. The beach is just beyond that, though you have to find the public access to it, which is about a block east. In other words, you're where's it's at.

Everything you need in a great location. Building has a coffee shop, mini-mart, laundry, sauna, gym, pool and spa. Room is clean and tidy and hosts Olivier and Katia make sure you have everything you need. The Island Colony building is at the back of the Waikiki are next to the canal, but is only a short stroll from the Restaraunts, shops and famous Waikiki beach.

Our stay was great.A perfect location to know the city and easy access to beach, shops, restaurants and public transportation. Our flight was delayed by 12 hrs and we reached Honolulu 5:30 am, but Olivier made it possible that we get the room as soon we arrive.definitely recommended!!

We enjoyed our time at Olivier's place! Olivier was very friendly, flexible and make check-in and out a breeze. There is nothing fancy about the apartment, but the location was EXCELLENT and perfect for walking Waikiki (only a 2-3 block walk), shopping, dining, etc. The lanais that overlooked the canal was a big plus, as were the pool and hot tub that were available. There is a great convenience store in the complex as well. Great value for staying basically on Waikiki beach. Just an FYI, parking is not included. You can park for free on the canal or for $30 (for 24hours) in the covered parking deck attached to the property. I believe Olivier mentions this in his description- we simply forgot about it! Thanks for a great stay Olivier!

Our stay was great, a perfect central location, to get around and go to our event. Clean with small but great for what we needed. Nice larger lanai with great views of the mountains. Easy access to town and buses, restaurants and shopping. We will come again.

We had really nice stay at one of the Oliver's appartments. The apartment was very clean and nicely furnished and had everything we needed. The location of the apartment was also very convinient, Waikiki beach is only few blocks a way. We would like to give special thanks to Olivier for being such a great host. We had some problems with our flights being delayed and also with the luggage. Olivier was very flexible and helped us with our problems. We'll definitely come back to this apartment if staying in Honolulu!
