The sleeping Indian was nice, in the center and quite clean. The guys were friendly and the Vulcan was great! I recommend it if you want to chill

We liked our stay in the house of Peter. The athmosphere is nice and the house is situated very central. The check in was perfect. Heidi explained us everything perfectly! :-) Just two, three rude comments of Peter in some situations which would really not have been necessary. But in total, we can recommend staying there.

This was my first time in Costa Rica and an airbnb. It couldn't have been more beautiful. The Indian Guest house was amazing. Very clean and very centrally located. Heidy was a great help with all of our needs from transportation to the safari float. Hope to return someday.

The guest house was just what we were looking for. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the host, Heidy, had tons of great suggestions and information about things to do and how to get around the area. Her help was invaluable in deciding how to spend our days. As for the house itself, it was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the showers were refreshing. The balcony is a really nice place to relax in the evening after a long day of exploring. The common area is also conducive to meeting other people who are staying there at the same time and making new friends. In the end I feel like our trip has been better than it would have been if we had stayed somewhere else.

This is a great place to stay, Heidy was very helpful in organising our transport from the airport and had a very welcoming and relaxed approach to us staying. There is a shared living room area and everyone we spoke to was really nice and respectful all had a love for the country. This place attracts a good crowd! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Peter and Heidy were great hosts! The space was clean & comfortable, and while its shared with other guests, the rooms are private and quiet. Heidy also helped us plan our trip, recommending various tours and activities, and that was much appreciated. Thanks for the great stay in La Fortuna!

Peter Ferguson the owner of the The Sleeping Indian Guesthouse and welcomes international travelers from all over the world.. Peter is a world traveler who has explored many varied countries and environments and has chosen La Fortuna as his favorite place on the planet and is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of this special area of a special country. The Sleeping Indian Guesthouse is centrally located in downtown La Fortuna named after a little chain of mountains next to Volcano Arenal in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. The wind and rain of millions of years of evolution has formed a chain of mountains that looks just like a sleeping indian. The more you look- the more you are amazed, since it seems that these giant mountains actually are a big Indian lying down. We think that no matter what kind of traveler you are, everybody likes to feel at home. Making you feel at home is Peter's goal. He loves people and he loves hosting.
