The home is great, very livable, but the location is what makes it truly special. Right in the middle of where you want to be for eating out, bars and vibe, but set off the main streets so that no noise could be heard.

This place is in a great location and our host was amazingly accommodating. We arrived on an early flight and arranged with Diego to be able to drop our luggage off early. We were delighted to find that the cleaner was just finishing up when we arrived so we were actually able to completely check in. Georgio (I think that was his name) was extremely helpful in his advice on things to see and do around Rome. The flat was cosy but spacious enough for just the 2 of us. The bed was comfortable and luckily there were extra pillows so we slept great the whole time. The complete experience was great. There were just a few minor critiques. The shower had great pressure & actually enough hot water for both my husband & me to shower in the mornings. The con of this bathroom though is the toilet is so close to the wall, you have to sit almost sideways on it. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance. The loft bed was nice but there is a low ceiling with rafters so watch your head if you're taller than 5'3". My 6' husband bonked his head numerous times & even I bonked my head a couple of times (I'm 5'7"). The pros of this place definitely outweigh the cons though. The location is great, right off a busy walking street but with a courtyard so you really don't hear much of the street noise. There is a pizzaria, gelataria, and procciuterria just outside the building. If we return to Rome, this is definitely a place we would stay again.

It could not be more central. It was amazing how quite the room is, even though the area is very busy at night with a lot of restaurants and bars nearby. Also easy to walk to most sights and public transport. Very easy and nice check-in. The place is spaceous enough for two people. Bathroom is small but functional. Shower is a bit tricky to get the temperature right, but thats ususally the same in old buildings like this one. It is definitly a good spot to explore this beautiful city.

I'm gonna start with the basic note, what everyone wants to see. This was a beautiful place to live, and I would 100% stay here again. Booking was very easy, and everything looked great online. After booking, Diego was fast and clear with his communications, and even helped with transport too the apartment. Roman cabs have to charge fixed amounts to and from the airports. I flew into Fiumicino (city cab would've cost 48 euro) and the service Diego suggested was 50. We were picked up from the airport immediately upon arrival, and were taken right to the apartment. We didn't meet Diego there but one of his employees(?), Giorgio. He showed us around the apartment, where all the amenities were, and how to work all the appliances. He also supplied us with a map and marked some good places to get food as well as other attractions in the city. He spoke English nearly fluently and was incredibly helpful. The apartment is walking distance to basically all the main sights in the city. We were able to walk to the Vatican, The Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, and everywhere in between. The neighborhood the apartment is in has a wide variety of food, drinks, and shops so you can eat and shop without having to go very far. The only downsides I have to mention are that the bathroom has a little bit of mold in the shower, but not a crazy amount. The worst part about the whole stay was the ceiling. I know the photos show the ceilings are low, but if you're over 5'10", WATCH YOUR HEAD. There are support beams on the ceiling that WILL catch you when you let your guard down. I was there from Tuesday to Friday and hit my head on the low part of the actual ceiling about 7-8 times, hit the support beams about 10 times, and hit my head on the stairwell 4-5 times. The apartment was amazing, the service was awesome, and the area was beautiful. Literally the only downside was the ceiling height. I would love to stay here again in the future!

There are pluses and minuses of this place. The biggest plus is its location - absolutely fantastic, I wouldn't want anything more. But the flat itself is a bit grim and horrid - very old, mouldy, smells of mould everywhere. Shower is very difficult to operate - the water is either very hot or very cold. The top floor is dangerous - there are metal beams on the ceiling and we hit our heads pretty hard as they are very low!! There's virtually no space to move upstairs. There's a window with a curtain and I can bet nobody ever cleaned behind it - it was so dusty! On the plus side - there's a kitchen and you can cook your meals - pretty all equipment is there. There's a TV with a couple of English movie channels - very good for early mornings or after tiring walks around the city. As I said before, the location cannot be better - in the centre of beautiful Trastevere with the best bars and food in Rome. Communication with Diego was fine. But in the end of the day, we wouldn't stay here again. It was too basic for us and the fact that we were charged €21 on arrival for city tax made this place too expensive for what it is - especially that there was no mentioning of these additional charges at booking.

Response from Diego:
Interesting how other guests have a completely different view of the studio. The studio was recently painted so I have no idea what these guests are talking about. The shower works fine, it's not our fault guests can't operate it, much less ask us for information. Also there's nothing dangerous about the second floor, in fact, guests love it. On top of it all Karolina got a discounted rate and was still complaining at the end. The tourist tax is stated very clear on the advert, it's not our fault she can't read. Furthermore, she never mentioned a word during their stay. I believe it's just one of those people that just like to complain...

The place is so "tipicaly Italian" with little streets etc.. The neighborhood is full of restaurants and bars. Very useful to go out with lot of people around every time. But the flat is very quiet and peaceful, it was so nice to spend some days there.
