Super-apartment in trendy Born

Ron and Tadaaki and Danko are such great hosts!! They are so knowlegable and have terrific tips for experiencing BCN. We felt so fortunate to have stayed with them.

I can't say enough about Ron and Tadaaki, and of course Danko! Their home could not be in a better or more gorgeous area, and is quite literally just across the street from the train station. Both hosts are friendly and welcoming and provide as much information about the area as you could want. Both men are incredibly intelligent and are gripping to talk to as they have lived in so many countries and have great life stories. I feel like we made a special friendship and hope to see them all again in the coming years. Normally my friend and I would never consider renting a room in somebodies home while traveling, but I must say that it was the best decision I could hope to make! I adore these two!!

Ron and Tadaaki, you guys are AMAZING hosts! Thanks for a fantastic experience. We couldn't have asked for a nicer welcome to such a beautiful city. Not only was our room (and the rest of the gorgeous apartment) perfect, Ron and Tadaaki were super helpful with great restaurant suggestions and tips on getting online tickets for Sagrada Familia (highly recommended, and saves you tons of time waiting in line!). And we love Danko! He's super sweet and will make you feel right at home too. Would stay here again anytime!

Ron and Tadaki were amazing hosts. They were able to recommend things to do and great places to eat. They helped us figure out how to get to Mont Serrat. Very accessible and beautiful apartment close to the train station. Minutes walk to anywhere you would want to go in barcelona. They were very accommodating -- allowed us to eat breakfast on the balcony each morning and even to do laundry before we left. Danko is the friendliest dog -- great pleasure to come back to each day. The bathroom is nice and clean. Wifi is very nice to have. Thanks Ron and Tadaki!

Ron and Tadaki already made us feel at home even before we came to Barcelona sending us details of the best way to get from the airport and more. When we arrived, we found a spotless room in their huge and beautiful flat, with a great eye for detail - plenty of storage, maps, up-to-date guidebooks, local info.(all good) and even house shoes (something we like in Germany), space in the refrigerator, big fluffy bath towels, WIFI, they'd thought of everything. The bed is super-comfy and next morning Ron made sure we had everything we needed, even coming with us to the bank to help with printing out some prepaid tickets and chemist, not forgetting to run past the cooking school where they make the best croissants (true). Their flat is perfectly located right on the edge of everything, we walked everywhere but you can take the underground just minutes away: beach, park, cathedral, it`s all right there. But when you get back it's phew, we can relax. Lots of space, and quiet friendly hosts. And we can't forget Danko the beautiful velvet-eared dog who also made us feel totally welcome. So thanks Ron and Tadaki, you made our trip really special, it was more like staying with some old friends than anything else. Peter and Thomas

We had an excellent time staying in this great apartment with Ron, Tadaaki, and their dog Danko. The bed is comfortable, the ceilings are incredibly high, and the hosts and their pup are very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they had guidebooks, maps, and a listing of their favorite places in the area (and around town). Every place we tried from the list was one of our favorites with amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. We were there for seven nights and each day they were happy, friendly, and fun. The apartment is central to a lot of cool areas and very close to a beautiful train station. Thanks Ron and Tadaaki! And Danko!

The location is optimal, the hosts are kind and full of information and stories, and the apartment is very comfortable. Plus, there is a great dog to welcome you home from a long day of walking! I would definitely recommend this listing.

Ron and Tadaaki are the consummate hosts--warm, inviting and helpful. Their place is fantastic, by far the nicest one we stayed at during our trip (perfect location, gorgeous apartment--those floors alone are a knockout, not to mention the decor in general--comfortable, clean room, what more can you want?), and their dog is sweet and a real highlight. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and hope to have the occasion to do so again in the future.

I have known Ron for many years now and I actually had the pleasure of being neighbours with Ron for several years while we were both living in Singapore. Wonderfully warm, inviting and eclectic, Ron and his partner's place was always impeccable. Untiringly gracious and entertaining hosts, Ron and Tadaaki had some of the the nicest holiday parties in Singapore. I would recommend Ron and Tadaaki to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay. In fact, I am envious of anyone who gets the chance to stay with them. I still haven't had a chance to take that vacation to Barcelona that I have been dying for!

Ron and his partner are perfect hosts, always making everyone feel right at home. The warm, relaxed ambience of their flat lets you experience life as a local while visiting Barcelona. And with fresh manchego cheese and a glass of rioja just steps away...who could ask for anything more?
