Other things to note

A nice thing to do, so to know the area, is to take a trip by boat around the
peninsula and the islands of the Marine Park, is just great. You can do it by yourself, renting a boat (but take informations at the Marina of the places
where you can't go because of limits due tu Park protections). If you like to visit historical sites there is the Archeological Museum in Villasimius or you can go to Cagliari were you can find plenty of places to visit, while if you just like the see but you don't like boat you can go by car and find may little isolated bays were to go swimming.
Others activities that you can do are golf (the golf course is right after the
Marina at around 2 km form the house) or diving in the Marine Park (that is great) but even going snorkeling is just great in the cala caterina bay where the house is you can find (if you look with attention) the "pinna nobilis" mussel.
A nice walking trip is to go to the Saracen tower on top of one of the cliffs of
the Peninsula (righ by Timi ama/Porto Giunco beach, see the picture), where
you can see a beautiful landscape (if there are boats close to the beach due to the clearness of the water it will seem that are floting on air), just be aware to use shoes and socks because there could be some plants that passing by can sting or scratch.

marvellous location although inside house was basic. To enjoy the terrace´s view is amazing but if the weather is not good to be inside is not very confortable [be careful if you are more than 1,80cm... ceiling is quite short in first floor!]

The location of the bilocal is amazing and so impressive. The view from the property over the Cala Caterina is spectacular. Its west facing aspect gives the most amazing sunsets across the sea towards Cagliari. As a host Antoinetta was very helpful during the booking process and was always prompt in responding to any queries that we had. Barbara, her colleague at Villasimius was at the property to meet us and again was very helpful. The location and the view cannot be faulted. Both are amazing. Unfortunately there were aspects of the bilocal that were disappointing and whilst I don’t wish to offend either Antoinetta or Barbara I feel I must be honest with my observations especially as these took away from our enjoyment of our holiday. The bilocal appears to be the garage of a very beautiful Villa which has been converted into a bedroom and ensuite bathroom. From the bedroom, very steep stairs with restricted headroom then lead downwards in to a very narrow kitchen area. This in turn leads to an outside area over which the overhanging structure of the villa above extends, again with restricted headroom in the dining area. Airbhb Photo 8/27 shows the ‘camera da letto’ , photo 12/27 shows a photo of a room described as a ‘camera’ with different furniture to the ‘camera da letto’: a red sofa, table and chair and tv. I mistakenly assumed that this ‘camera’ was the second room of the bilocal. (it turned out just to be one side of the ‘camera da letto’ which had been photographed with new furniture). The kitchen of the ‘entire home/apt’ is described on the Airbnb site as ‘semiabitable’ and therefore I assumed couldn’t be considered as a habitable room. I accept that this was my error as the ‘about this listing’ section of the Airbnb site states there is one bedroom but I believe these photos are somewhat misleading and the rooms in the two photos 8 and 12 look so completely different I didn’t even think to ask. Having the ‘entire home/ apt’ advertised as having air conditioning is also open to interpretation. I assumed that by indicating on the site that there is ‘airconditioning’ in the 'entire home/apt' it meant there would be ‘integrated’ airconditioning in the property. The air conditioning turned out to be a large portable unit on the floor of the bedroom which was connected to the outside by a large hose. This ac unit was so noisy it made an undisturbed night’s sleep almost impossible. The unit needed to be on however because with the flat roof overhead, the heat of the sun made the temperature in the bedroom extremely hot. We tried one night to leave the windows open instead but mosquitoes made us close it again. The bilocal looks ‘tired’ and needs some care and attention. A little thought and attention to detail could work wonders. (For example, there is only one plug adaptor in the entire property which is needed for...

Perfect location and breathtaking view! Access to small beach; kitchen quite well equipped; easy contact with the owner. However - amenities visibly old; no personal touches In the villa. Old and hard bed mattress and pillows; blankets instead of proper quilt.

What a beautiful place!! We really loved our time here, it was so peaceful and the views and sunsets were stunning. It is about an hours drive from Cagliari airport. About a 10 minute drive away is Villasimius which is a lovely town with lots of souvenir shops, gelataria, restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. Snorkeling in the bay was great and it is about a 30 minute walk (maybe less) to the marina where there are a couple of restaurants and it is possible to go scuba diving and also to hire a boat. The house itself we found to be well equipped and there was everything we needed to cook some lovely meals. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Communication was good with Antonietta, as she gave prompt responses. Our flight was heavily delayed and we arrived the apartment past midnight. However Barbara, Antonietta's friend, kindly left the keys on the door so we could access the apartment despite the ungodly hour. The view from the apartment was fantastic! Every morning my friends and I would wake up & sip coffee while enjoying the impressive view of the clear (and clean!) sea. The size of the apartment is just enough for four adults. Really good solid beds, apart from the small red bed which had an indentation (wasn't too bad though!). Bathroom was also very clean, however just thought that a longer shower curtain would improve the overall experience as water got outside the shower even after using it carefully. Kitchen was small, but it had everything we needed (freezer, fridge, utensils and cutlery, microwave, oven and hobs). Our favourite part was definitely the roofed porch outside, furnished with a large table and 4-6 chairs, because we could hide from direct sunlight while still enjoying the view/breeze! If you really liked direct sunlight there were also two sand loungers. Would recommend guests to rent cars, scooters or bicycles because it was quite a walk under the sun. Once again, would like to reiterate how amazing the view was!!!

Antonietta was always very prompt in her message replies in the lead-up to our stay, and her friendly delegate Barbara was there to meet us and show us the property. The bilocale is in a fantastic position, right at the land's end, with private access to the water and attractive gardens. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom were light and spacious, but the weather was against us, with strong, cold winds preventing outdoor relaxing, making the downstairs kitchen space a little cramped. It would be magical sitting on the terrace in warm weather.

grazie jane. mi dispiace davvero per il tempo brutto che avete avuto durante il vostro soggiorno! quando tira maestrale sembra di essere in barca ....visto che è una casa proprio sul mare. un salut antonietta
