Lovely and convenient stay in a great location right downtown, walking distance to excellent food, and to the Creeper Trail. Nicely remodeled and comfortable modern room that keeps some historic character. Would stay again. Be aware that there are trade-offs for a downtown location in Abingdon: the room is accessed only by stairs, both outside, and one flight inside. It's in a busy part of downtown, and in an old building. Abingdon also has a railroad right through town. The room is sometimes noisy, and the train is moderately loud. I used earplugs to sleep and was fine. The room and location are great, my stay went as expected with no trouble, and I didn't have to drive anywhere if I didn't want to, so I would choose to stay here again.
