The location is exceptional. The room was very clean, and all the bedding etc was clean. There was no problem with insects or mosquitos. It was the hottest time of year and it was hot, but as long as you had the fan on it was no problem. It was fine to sleep at night with the fan on.

La Barca is a great little spot for low maintenance travelers. This is a very quiet spot with great views of the ocean, that you are mere footsteps from. My room (#7) was fine for staying close to the beach, and had enough cooking utensils to make meals. The AC was nice too. There's nothing really fancy and the building is old, but great value for being able to go to sleep hearing the waves, and jump in the ocean whenever you feel like it.
