“…We are local to the area, and yet we loved staying at HH. We really were able to get away from it all for a short weekend by being here. The owners are great and very communicative. Their sweet (large) dogs roam around and say hi to everyone, so if you love big sweet dogs, this is the place! I also have to say that it was a relief to be somewhere that values all levels of ability and have worked that into what they say and do. Their new common space is so nice and offers lots of little local things to pick up, from eggs to jam to coffee beans. We will definitely be back.…

“…Always enjoy my visits to HGH! This was trip #3 or #4....I've lost track! Easy to find, super peaceful, a very clean property....what's not to love?! This trip was quick, just an overnight stay on my way home from a business trip. I arrived close to midnight. I parked by the communal kitchen, and quietly gathered my things in the dark. Hiking to the campsite on top of the hill was....well, hard, but a rewarding exercise! They have done great work, cleaning it up and making it feel like a "real" campsite. I quickly was able to find two trees to throw my hammock and tarp up between, and set to work building a small fire, after which I sat down and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate before putting the fire out and crawling into bed. Sleep was peaceful, and dawn arrived too soon. Knowing I had a long trip home, I was packed and hiking out by 6:30. I completed the loop trail, stopping by their beautiful on the way out. A quick tooth-brushing at the kitchen and I was gone by 7:30. Au revoir!…
