Stunning place in nature! If you like a more real natural and wild experience this is the place! A good change of scenery from the beaches and SUPER chill compared to the rest of Bocas! The water was crystal clear and I’ve never seen so many fish so close to the bay! The food was SOOOOO GOOD! Attending all my dietary requests.

Oh I loved Coco Vivo! It feels like a true retreat, away from everything. You can see a sloth, be a sloth (like I was), or explore the reef. El Capitan & Mazoo, the sweet & brave resort pups, will make your stay special, and volunteers Laia & Ruben will make you feel right at home. It’s also incredible what the chef can create from the fresh local ingredients. Unique & memorable stay!

Wow, staying at CocoVivo was a really special experience. From the start, the staff were super informative and helpful. We were warmly greeted by Leo, Laia, and Ruben which was the start of a wonderful stay. The food cooked by Andrea was beyond amazing and she catered to my husbands allergies with no issues. Eating food from the land including local cacao made us both very happy. We spent our days snorkeling and reading books, only doing one activity of walking the land with Leo where we saw a bunch of sloths up in the trees. The reef was very beautiful and we really enjoyed our time in the water. Not having hot water wasn't an issue and once we were able to get a few extra fans for our room, we slept great.
Please note all visitors should take their bug spray situation very seriously. We did not have the right stuff and the bugs loved us. It seems those who had coconut and almond oil based repelant had the best luck on styaing bite free.

This place is absolutely amazing, everything about it. One of my favorite places I’ve been to in the world. I could not get enough of the coral reef. I’d highly highly recommend this to any nature lover who doesn’t mind a rustic experience. However, If bugs are an issue for you, maybe skip, as you will get covered in bites.
