…We had an unforgettable stay at CocoVivo. It’s wild and beautiful - not polished, just pure nature. Our hut over the water was simple, clean, and eco-friendly, with a ‘ pipi only’ loo and solar power - compost loo elsewhere, for obvious reasons!

I love that it started as part of a reforestation project, the connection to the land really comes through.

They helped coordinate a 30-min boat taxi from Bocas Town, which made things easy. Wi-Fi was surprisingly good! Bring strong repellent - the sandflies are persistent.

We walked the ‘sloth loop’ often - saw sloths (including babies!) and poison dart frogs. The extended walk, you should be prepared for more rugged terrain.

Snorkelling was beautiful, and night snorkelling with bioluminescence felt like swimming through stars.

The food was incredible - we requested vegetarian - it was fresh, full of flavour, and some of the best we’ve had!

We loved the nature, and the way of life. Special thanks to Andrea, Leo, El Capitan and Mazoo…

…I would give 6 stars if I could, we totally loved cocovivo. It is about 25 min boat ride from Bocas Del toro but it’s so worth it! Juan, Sarah, Andrea, and capitan and mazu (the dogs) greeted us warmly. The food Andrea cooked was delicious and she was so sweet! The hut itself is very cute and we loved everything around it. We saw some sloths, lots of crabbies, a stingray, jellyfish and beautiful corral. We had very nice company staying in the other huts and Sarah and Juan did their best to make us feel super comfortable. I would 100% recommend cocovivo to anyone looking for a fulfilling experience.…

…My goal was to sit on an island and become one with the sloths. I achieved that goal with my stay here. The entire staff is wonderful – Leo and Esther and especially Andrea. Juan and Sara helped organize my stay and I cannot thank them enough!…

…It was a completely successful stay!
It was just amazing! The location is fantastic, the food is a poem and the incredibly friendly and open nature of everyone makes you never feel like a stranger.
We had insanely great experiences (jungle tour, shared food with other guests, saw an incredible number of animals such as dolphins, monkeys, sloths, rays, etc.) and yet we also only had moments for ourselves with nature. It was just incredibly beautiful! Thanks!!!…
