They say a smile can light up a room, so see what it does for a profile page! We’d love to help you put your best face forward using the Airbnb Photobooth or your camera to take some great profile photos, so we wrote some tips just for you. Learn more about why completing your profile is so important.
1. Lighting should be neutral and natural. Too much direct light or sitting in a dark corner can distort your photos.
2. Space between you and the camera is important, and beware of angles! Extreme ups and downs can be disorienting (and a bit intimidating). Try to keep the camera steady and flat. We’ve found that the best photos are taken at about two feet from the camera’s lens.
3. Your face should be demonstrating your character and personality. It’s all about you! Nothing builds confidence like a friendly, welcoming photo of you. Feel free to add your own flair.
