Enjoy the best of Big Bear Lake in this cozy and spacious mountain cabin, perfect for ski trips, family getaways, or a relaxing weekend in nature. Sunset Pines Cabin comfortably sleeps up to nine guests and features a private hot tub, game room, fireplace, and partial lake views.
Step inside to a warm and inviting living area with a brick fireplace, ideal for unwinding after a day at Snow Summit or Bear Mountain. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook your favorite meals, and the large dining table makes it easy for everyone to gather and share stories from the day.
The cabin has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, offering plenty of space for everyone to relax. The loft includes an additional sleeper sofa for extra comfort and flexibility.
For entertainment, you’ll find a private hot tub with lake views, a game room with foosball, shuffleboard, and arcade games, and a heated garage with a pool table and TV. Outside, enjoy the new gas fire pit with seating for four, perfect for s’mores under the stars.
Amenities include high-speed WiFi, smart TVs, a new washer and dryer, central heating, fresh linens and towels, humidifiers in each bedroom, and parking for up to three vehicles in accordance with city guidelines.
The kitchen has been recently updated with new cookware, Mikasa flatware, and glassware, along with a Keurig, Nespresso machine, and Cuisinart coffee maker. A spacious pantry is available for longer stays, and a new top-of-the-line microwave was added in 2024.
The exterior has also been refreshed with a regraded and paved driveway for easier winter access, rebuilt front steps, and a backyard redesigned with pavers, landscaping, and a relaxing outdoor setup. Enjoy your morning coffee on the balcony with mountain views, or spend the evening gathered around the fire pit.

Guests have access to the whole house, fenced in yard, and garage (except for the owners cupboard located in an upstairs closet and the crawlspace under the house)
Other things to note
We can fit 9 capacity, however this is the absolute max capacity. We feel our cabin is more suited to families (or multiple families) or adult parties with a few less than the max.
Pests and such
Despite our dedicated and meticulous cleaning efforts, it's possible that you may encounter some spiders and other small creatures during your stay. Please rest assured that we do our best to keep them at bay, including (family and eco-friendly) regular pest control service, but our cabin is in the woods.
Warmer Months
Please note that our cabin does not have air conditioning. However, we provide fans to enhance airflow, and opening the windows in the evening allows you to enjoy the refreshing mountain or lake breeze. Ceiling fans are installed in the primary bedroom, queen bedroom, and living room, and we also have multiple floor fans available for your comfort.
Security
There are 3 exterior cameras facing away from the home. There are are no cameras in the home or facing the hot tub. We respect your privacy, and use these to keep an eye on the place when vacant.
Snow removal
During the winter months we have a snow removal service that will shovel the driveway and sidewalk. It is still important to be careful outside as ice may be present and areas can remain slippery.
Guest access
You will have access to the whole house except owners closets.
Other things to note
1. Fires and Firewood
a) Firewood for the indoor fireplaces is not provided. Please be prepared to purchase wood upon arrival in any of the markets and grocery stores in town.
B) No campfires, wood fire pits or open charcoal fires are allowed outside.
2. Barbeque and Firepit
Initial tanks are provided however if you need a refill you will need to go refill. DIY Store is a few miles away and less than $25.
3. Hot Tub
a) No children under the age of 14 are permitted in the hot tub without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk.
b) We always service the hot tub between guest. This is included. However, excessive dirt/debris in the hot tub which requires the hot tub to be dumped and refilled will be an $80 fee.
4. Smoking
a) Cabin is non-smoking inside
b) Smoking is permitted on property outside, however Guest(s) must properly dispose of butts or any other smoking materials. Smoking is prohibited in the National Forest, which is located beyond the steps in the backyard.
5. Pets and Service Animals -
a) Please note animals are NOT permitted for health/allergy reasons; therefore, this home is EXEMPT from Airbnb's usual policy pertaining to but not limited to Emotional Support Animals and Service Animals. Animals of any kind (Pets, ESA, etc.) are not permitted. Guests who violate this rule will forfeit their entire security deposit and will be responsible for any additional fees/costs incurred related to damage and the like.
b) Any guests that arrive at the property with an animal of any kind risk eviction, cancellation of their reservation without refund, and being turned away at the door. No exceptions to this rule.
6. Identification
All guests are required to submit a photo ID upon check in. The ID must match the name of the reserving party. If your name differs from that of your Airbnb account please let us know ahead of time to we have time to address the concern. Refunds are not issued due to lack of appropriate identifying credentials. Acceptable forms of ID are government issued picture ID's, Drivers Licenses, Passports, State ID's, International picture ID's, and other picture ID's upon prior approval. This is a mandated by the City of Big Bear and unfortunately we are not able to make exceptions.
7. Big Bear Lake Good Neighbor Policy
BBL requires you to sign the good neighbor policy. We hope this goes away soon, but it is a requirement to sign this document in order to rent any home in BBL.
8. Power Outages
Please note you are in a mountain town. During the winter months power outages can occur. Our wood burning fireplace with gas assist will still work and keep you warm. You may need to use your car to charge your phone. These affect the whole town and are not specific to our house.
