It's a small basic cabin that can feel like a tighter fit if 4 people are in the unit, but it is great for exploring the area and being right by the water!

Neighborhood highlights

Located on the southwestern tip of Mount Desert Island, Bass Harbor is a charming and authentic Maine fishing village known for its scenic harbor, working lobster boats, and rugged coastal beauty. Unlike the busier towns on the island, Bass Harbor offers a quiet, laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for those seeking a more off-the-beaten-path experience.

One of the area’s most iconic landmarks is the Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, perched on a dramatic rocky coastline and offering one of the most photographed sunset views in Maine. The village is also home to some of the island’s freshest seafood, with local lobster shacks serving up the day’s catch straight from the harbor.

Outdoor enthusiasts can explore nearby trails in Acadia National Park, including Ship Harbor and Wonderland, both offering easy coastal walks with stunning ocean views. Bass Harbor is also the departure point for ferries to Swan’s Island and Frenchboro, perfect for adventurers looking to explore Maine’s offshore communities.

We started this business after being unable to find a great Full Service Manager in Acadia. We created a system that helped us achieve success and we then expanded to managing units for other homeowners on the island. As we’ve grown to over 75 units we’ve added multiple full-time employees to help improve efficiencies. We strive to ensure every guest has a great experience in any unit managed by Maebeth Property Management!
