Forget your worries in this spacious and serene accommodation on the 1st floor of a detached house, very quiet on the edge of the village with shops accessible within a few minutes on foot. Surrounded by countryside with lovely distant views. Ideal location for walking on KMs of paths from the accommodation. Close to river swimming with a sandy beach on the Dronne, children's playground and snack bar at the campsite next door and Le Moulin du Pont restaurant, all less than 10 minutes on foot.
The space
Stay with us in a large, completely independent apartment on the 1st floor with a 20m2 south/west facing balcony, perfect for enjoying the sublime sunsets and endless views. In the countryside but on the edge of a village with all the shops: bakery, grocery store, butcher, bar, restaurant, post office and ATM...just a few minutes on foot. From the apartment there are hiking trails that you can take in all directions, all the way to Royan if you want! A fine sand river beach 10 minutes' walk away right next to the campsite with IV license bar and snack bar, and Le Moulin du Pont restaurant with terrace on the banks of the river.
The apartment consists of a very large living room (English TV available, free to view channels plus French TV & Google Chromecast) with double French doors opening onto the balcony as well as a window overlooking the swimming pool, an equipped kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom with an Italian shower and a large bathtub, separate WC.
Access by gate with digital code (remote control provided on arrival) and mini-box for the key next to the front door on the balcony (code communicated just before your arrival).
Access to the salt pool under cover which can be opened, especially during hot weather. * NEW* the pool is heated to 28*c from the 1st of May to the end of September thanks to solar panels #greenenergy
Land of 5000m2 converted into a garden, vegetable patch, grove, orchard and wildflower meadow for your strolls with an aperitif in hand!
Lisle is located in Périgord Vert in a triangle between Périgueux, Brantôme and Ribérac. Access to the A89 motorway (exit 14) is 10 minutes from the apartment. The Dordogne is well known for its history, its heritage (“1001 castles”, prehistory, museums and its gastronomy (restaurants, riverside cafés, bistros for all tastes and all prices). Visits to Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Limoges, Brive, Bordeaux or even the west coast to Arcachon, Royan, La Palmyre can be done in a day. Tourist information is available in the apartment. There are producers' markets almost every day in the area. During the summer there are many events such as fayres, festivals and garage sales to visit. Lisle is on the Dronne, you can canoe, kayak from Lisle, Bourdeilles, Brantôme, Ribérac…). There are equestrian centers for horseback riding.
For visiting families : children must be supervised at all times by their parents who have sole responsibility for them, particularly for the use of the pool. Once the swim session is finished the pool abri MUST be completed closed for the safety of your children.
Guest access
You have the entire first floor with the exception of one locked room. The balcony is your space, plus the pool and the gardens and meadow. The property is completely enclosed (wall/fence/electric gate). The salt water pool is covered and heated.
Other things to note
Dogs are accepted subject to communication and prior authorization (depending on breed, behavior, etc.). Dogs must be vaccinated, including against rabies, their vaccination passport can be requested. Dog droppings must be collected immediately. Please note that the garden is not entirely enclosed.
Currently we have a very small dog and a cat at home.
