“I've been staying at Jackie's when visiting Brooklyn over the last year and it's one of the highlights of my trip. The apartment is in a great part of town and is so Brooklyn-ey! Exposed brick walls, and so, so tastefully done up--but nothing too frou-frou. Lots of aesthetic, thoughtful, engaging things all around --kind of like Jackie and her roommates!
They are great hosts--they know when to let you be, and when a hot cup of tea would be just the ticket.
Brooklyn is great, and to have such affable and fun hosts is icing on the cake.

“Recently i made reservation at the last minute to stay at Keow's resident. I was surprised to hear that i was the first to stay at this apartment. I wasn't disappointed at all! This apt is on the ground floor, and decorated with all the amenities of a comfortable home :) My first impression was the new renovation of the hallway...the installation of new chair rails, moldings,the brick veneer walls that was decoratively stained.
The apartment(apt) was immaculate with new furniture, the bed was very comfortable...even the couch was so comfortable that I slept in the living room for a night because there are 2 flat televisions in bedroom and living room with Direct TV reception.
This apartment lives up to the descriptions displayed! There is also a big backyard that you can rent for summer events! Then not too far from that apartment are night life;- Clubs, variety of restaurants on Court st, or Smith st where you can whine or dine, or you can order in food if you chose to relax.
This neighborhood is the elite area of Brooklyn with million dollar homes, where the richest reside.
Then there is Pier 6 park where you can play summer beach volleyball, or just have a romantic walk through the garden, or just relax on the bench.You can fish, or relax and enjoy the beautiful light of the financial district of Manhattan across the east river.
There is a boat ride that takes you to Governor's Island( free during the summer) from Pier 6.
I did all of these exploration for the few days I spent at Keow's apt.
Keow was very receptively during my stay! Did I mention that she can pick up or drop you off at the airport? Yes she can :) You can get to Manhattan in 5 minutes if driving, or 10 minutes by train.
I will delightfully stayed at her apartment anytime is it available again.

Claire has lived all over the world and is a seasoned travel which is to your benefit when renting her apartment. The area that they live in is great and is close to all the major subways along with some great bars and restaurants. Claire is incredibly easy to communicate with and is a wonderful host. Any guests would benefit from a stay in their apartment!”
