  Kyle says, “GET AWAY FOR A VA-CA but not leave town?! How is this possible do you say? Very easily. 3 words. 1 name. Big Dog Boats-Kevin Hatanaka @ the Marina - life is different. Way different. A) civilization is close- corner of Lincoln and Fiji Way- everything you need and more B) Paradise is close as well. Fiji Way seems to be epic quiet ALL THE TIME. - You've got a perfect week long get away. Use the boat as a study/office Maybe take the zodiac out for a spin around the Marina (if Kevin let's you- at his discretion) I was among the lucky ones- Kevin let me take the zodiac out- which I did- 5 or 6 times... Take a leisurely tour around every slip and channel in the marina and look at all the different boats, yachts, monster power boats, sail boats, cruisers, power cruisers etc - relax and enjoy the view- what's the rush leisurely- feel you need to head back in- change your mind and stay out another 45 minute spin- and you'll find yourself bumping into Sea Lions, Pellicans, gulls, and all kinds of other stuff. - bring a camera. It's Brilliant. Sunsets are amazing! Sea lions make fun sounds at night. You might think- what am I going to do on a boat for a week? Say things like. "I'm on a boat" - a lot. Or BBQ- it works and it was Awesome. Did that every day.-Yup. Mean tri-tip and a gorgeous sunset. On a boat. What if you want to watch a movie? Answer- 50" plasma. W/HD channels. Gets a great movie station- lot of good movies. I even watched an episode of Laverne and Shirly and The Outer Limits and Alfred Hitchcock. "On a boat." On a 50" plasma. Yes I did. And it was awesome. Shower on the boat or shower on the dock. Dock has laundry and epic hot showers and awesome water pressure and those really high big shower heads that make taking a shower all hollywood and what not. Laundry too. $1.25 a load. Total deal. Well what if I don't want to stay on a boat all day? Answer: Go for a bike ride down to Main Street in Venice/Santa Monica get a coffee at Urth cafe. Go see a movie at the mall right by Mindano (or whatever that street is) right by Lincoln and Fiji. -Awesome This is a vacation hideaway- right in town. and a great deal- price wise!- just what the Dr. Ordered. Plain Awesome. Kevin is about the nicest guy you'll meet- and his boat is Bitchin. Cozy, comfortable, fun. When you get back home you'll be depressed- because you're "back" and not "on a boat" Best sleep i've had in years too- on the water- big comfortable memory foam mattress- clean linens... Big Fun. Looking forward to getting back out there to recharge and relax”
